They usually detain you for a month to run out your visa before deporting you.

I don't think beating you is standard but they do sleep deprivation and all kinds of shit that would be illegal here and you are generally going to get tortured until you confess, just not by methods that will leave you with physical scars. So if you're guilty, like this dumb nigger is, you should probably just confess. You're going to anyway and you're going to be found guilty. It's like 99% of the time. The Japanese have some tolerance of tourist bullshit but if you fuck up enough you're doing some time.

does anybody know if the modern Japanese prison system is still like this? im not doubting it, just wondering if anything has changed since i last heard what they were like in an episode of Banged Up Abroad (though they still use fax machines nation wide so... probably not?)

Holy shit that ip2 life style hits different. Their body count far exceeds our humble forum, being a full time ip2 streamer is a death wish at this point. Speedy next? been looking at videos out of curiosity, and i think i answered my own question
the Japanese prison system has had almost no change since 1908, which makes it the oldest prison system in the world
they have had only a few changes in regards to prisoners dying in extreme ways
one of those incidents being Japanese guards spraying a fire hose up a prisoners bottom, he died shortly after from a bacterial infection from the wound
so extreme acts of violence and a better complaint system seem to be the only change they have made, which they made begrudgingly
however... most of these really horrible stories and reports from these prisoners are cases after 2005, which was AFTER the changes were made
this is a timetable for a person in a Japanese prison that had not been convicted yet, and in fact was released after the charges were dropped
this is likely what Somali is up to right now-
the video, its 1 year old so fairly recent
