Is this site better on TOR?

I was already using Tor for all of my browsing, having proper onion support and maintenance is nothing but a plus.
You'll have to use Invidious if you want links to show up properly (for a lot) of Tor users.

My favorite pouster, Cats, is here. and is doing my favorite kind of pousting, that is pousting cats and other cat related and cat adjacent topics
i"m happy about this state of things
yeah, pretty much all of my favorite posters have migrated over to tor by now, so i cant complain about anything but slower loading speeds atm.

Pros: fewer niggerfaggots

Cons: fewer niggerfaggots

It's kinda a wash but as it stays on Tor and we get more regulars back, it'll come out ahead.

What's surprising to me is KF being on Tor seems to have caused a bunch of cows to quiet down; they *are* performative and are dancing for us, without the audience they don't dance as much.

Something sacred, something so beautiful
Something quiet to ease my mind
While the pressure's taking me over and over

You kinda need new blood or forms die

And I like the lulz here

No I don't think Tor only its good long term. Sekrit clubs always turn in to gay circlejerks that die. Tor is good for bunker mode but the site needs time on the surface web to bring in fresh meat.

You don't have to be a member to be a user of the site.
People stumble upon the site, lurk for awhile, and find something they are interested in. Then eventually get into it enough that they join and add their own ideas and information.

No one is going to just randomly end up here now. No one is going to click on some sketchy .onion link or even know what the fuck it is.
Nulls landing page does a good job of getting people who already know what this site is here but random explorers aren't going to make it.

And I am not a Tor hater. Tor is how I have always gotten while at work. I don't need the gendered IT department seeing "kiwifarms.net" in the firewall logs.

Honestly, no because images don't load a lot of the times and video embeds are often fucked.
I agree; I prefer mainstream Internet to this back alley kind. Tor Internet is an acceptable backup, but it's slower, doesn't always connect, causes problems with videos and images, etc. Nor do I mind others on here. They make things more lively. :smug:

No. For me, Tor is painfully slow. I can barely load avatars, let alone pics and videos. I've tried a million different circuits, and they're all equally slow. I'm jealous of the people who have decent speeds.
Sometimes it helps to switch the guard node (entry point). You can see the guard node address by clicking on the onion in in the address bar. How to get a different one:
In the case of a suspected slow guard node, close TOR browser, navigate to tor-browser_en-US/Browser/TorBrowser/Data/Tor and delete the file named "state", re-open TOR browser and you should have a new random guard node.
