Is this site better on TOR?

No. For me, Tor is painfully slow. I can barely load avatars, let alone pics and videos. I've tried a million different circuits, and they're all equally slow. I'm jealous of the people who have decent speeds.
Have you tried Brave's tor?

While I get the whole filtering aspect of switching to a special browser, it's also weeded out some OPs who started promising threads over at Prospering Grounds. I'm still annoyed by the slightly longer load times (including the lack of cached items to load), occasionally having to switch to a different circuit, and fucking annoying long CAPTCHAs when I'm trying to view an archive.today link.

Sometimes it helps to switch the guard node (entry point). You can see the guard node address by clicking on the onion in in the address bar. How to get a different one:
Unfortunately that hasn't worked for me.

Have you tried Brave's tor?
Big difference. Tried it in the past and and was just as slow, but tonight it's running at almost normal clearnet speeds.

I think overall it's better on clearnet for usability, but fine on tor with a minimal amount of work to make it not seem like dialup days. While a lot of actual good posters can't be assed to use tor, easy as it really is, we do still have a few hilariously stupid users around for lulz and shenanigans which is represented well by this thread.

I think really a site like this needs to be on the clearnet due to it's content, especially with bow and worship LGBTQWTFOMGBBQ month right around the corner, this place does a damn fine job of throwing a wrench in the gears of the narrative about them. Especially the troons the media loves to put on a pedestal.

The only downside is that on Tor with Android, you can't seem to post images on here since they don't recognize the media files correctly.

I've had a little better luck using the "Attach Files" function below the text field instead of the Insert Image icon above it in the toolbar.

If you can get the image to Attach and load, you can then insert the image or thumbnail in the text field.

Still inconsistent though and hard to tell if anything is responding given how slow it is.

No website thrives with only oldfags on an .onion domain unfortunately. It's a positive to not have room-temp IQ tards going around shitting threads for a while but a site forced to live on donations and user interaction needs visibility. This alone makes me very worried for the future of the site (and Dear Feeder's).

Farmers have been doing an alright job gatekeeping against tards in my opinion. Compared to losing the farms in this day and age in a slow death, I like to think nu/pol/ nigs getting told to eat dick on clearnet is a small price to pay.

the farms feels less active, but at the same time feels more like a tightly nit community which is pretty comfy

Unfortunately for people who hang out in the BP, the threads are moving like molasses. A lot of the people who follow cows like Chantal are internet normies who don’t even know what Tor is. Even if they did or knew how to use it, they’d probably go to Reddit instead. I feel like the BP has a lot more lurkers than the rest of the site though. A lot of assholes like to use the site for their reaction channel content but pretend like they’re too good to be here.

Clearnet is the only way long term. Tor just won’t be sustainable for a forum with so many active threads.

Social media sites depend on new users coming in as old users diminish, so until Tor become commonly used by the public, the site needs a clearnet version.

That and sometimes you get amusing Halal people like Henry and Chase to laugh at because they wander in and make fools of themselves instantly with their schizo rants.

Edit: Has anyone had any crashes using Brave's version of Tor? It's rare but has happened twice now, not sure if it's a memory leak or something else going on.

Saw it in forum grievances but Brave browser+Orbot's vpn works incredibly well with kiwionion, at least for me and some others. It still needs to go through Kiwiflare and of course isn't as fast as clearnet, but it's way more responsive than the TOR browser.
