So was it a scam, or was it a business venture that failed?

Kind of both, you should watch coffeezillas videos. TLDR is basically it was probably founded in somewhat good faith, other than being a crypto goldrush crapshoot, but after Ibanez made some money trading before the initial launch, Logan and the rest basically went fuck it and hoped they could do nothing and it'd die out, so it went scam.

I've seen all of his videos on this and it seems like a legitimate business idea. The fact it failed and he tried to take his money early doesn't feel like a scam to me.

But it's hard to remember the details, or whatever the smoking gun was. I think it had to do when he sold his crypto involved in the project. If it's between selling early, losing the money to business failure, or losing it by paying it out to random people who had bought in, I don't see a huge problem.

I'd give LP the benefit of the gout. But he's done these business oopsies so many times its getting harder and harder to believe it isn't just a scam from the very beginning.

I will say that most of his victims except maybe a few really stupid ones were also scammers hoping to rug the next individual. Its just scammers all the way down on an obvious scam product.

I don't know why he just doesn't pay everyone off. The amount is absolutely nothing to him. Maybe he's either really arrogant and/or as stupid as his fans.

I remember over a decade ago, the media was freaking out about bitcoin and how it's "an untracable currency used by criminals for drug purchases and paying for the comission of crimes."
Meanwhile it's the most traceable currency of all time. Every single transaction is recorded permanently on the blockchain.

It still baffles me. He moved to LA, got to work with Disney (but why do I feel like it was a very short amount of time?) then became a social media freak, then moved on to boxing and scamming. A masterstroke in overrated snake oil salesman shit.

He had himself one hell of a ride. More so than most ecelebs or even celebs in general. There are plenty of realities where he becomes another flash in the pan or worse, a Bam or Drake Bell type of celebrity mess who doesn’t know it’s all over for him. He’s in a near no lose situation unless he does something truly horrific like kill someone or his dirty laundry reveals he is a SBF tier crypto fiend

Now imagine, instead of owning Beanie Babies, you own a piece of paper that says that you own a portion of a Beanie Baby that you have never seen with your own eyes before, and that the value of that piece of paper is linked to the price of the Beanie Baby- basically buying stock in a Beanie Baby instead of just owning the Beanie Baby.

That's Liquid Marketplace.
Some big banks(eg. Barclays) do this for expensive art. It's called fractional asset investment, and it's kind of legitimate (provided they actually own the pieces they're selling fractions of, which isn't something you can easily check on as the art collection is stored in controlled conditions in some bonded warehouse). The ROI isn't very good compared to more standard investments, by the way.

Some fuckers actually tried to do this for Magic: The Gathering cards in the late 2000s (Pretty sure it was Pucatrade, not 100% certain), but that scheme collapsed due to the collection being sold out from under the "investors".

People who gave money didn't get promised returns, money disappeared. I hate to call spade a spade. Judge has to be either retarded or bribed not see this crypto scam for what it is.

Somehow I've managed to go my entire life without knowing who this dude is.

What type of videos does Mr Paul make? Is it a Mr Beast type vibe? Who watches said videos? Why should I care about this drama?

I want to care, I just don't get it.
Imagine unironically coming to a mesageboard to ask what kind of youtube videos some guy makes and then sitting there waiting for a response instead of typing his name into youtube

You're either a super boomer or a retarded super boomer

Why should you care about literally anyone posted on this site? We get it you're a cool cat

Because just refunding the money qualifies as an admission of guilt, which can serve as evidence in a criminal case.

I don't understand why Faggotzilla even bothered talking about Logan Paul and his crypto scam in the first place

It's Logan fucking Paul, everyone and their mother already knows he's a con artist, a scammer and overall a trash person

Only retards still follow Logan now and they deserve to be scammed off their very last penny. How many crypto and NFT shit shilled by "influencers" were proven to be scams to just get them rich?

You dug your own grave Niggerzilla, now lay in it. You chose to preach to the choir instead of making a video about something less known to bring more attention. I won't buy your shitty t-shirts and mugs.

It doesnt have KYC built in. Still not that hard to correlate most wallets.

I am sure he is gonna make a video on mr beast AAAAANY time now.

The lawsuit got featured yesterday. But this isn’t news to me, as I do recall several lawtubers had been profiting talking about this lawsuit, and bragging how easy it would be for them to win it for at least a few weeks. What is news to me is that his insurance company screwed him because everyone assumed they were already paying for his legal expenses and his silence was due to some legal strategy.

Few lawtubers have touched on the fact that Logan most likely knows he can’t win. What Logan really wants is to outspend coffeezilla to screw him over.

I think Coffee is wrong in one thing. It’s possible him nagging Logan about his newest scam did made him accelerate things. But there’s no way Logan’s lawyers did this lawsuit in a few hours. Logan had already planned on doing his revenge, but the only thing that was stopping him from going after Coffee was that public opinion wasn’t on his side.

Logan despises Coffee and he had already threaten to crush him over a year ago. But he backtracked hard once he realized everyone was on coffee’s side. Logan even apologized and feigned liking him. Logan only waited for so long because he was waiting until everyone had forgotten about Cryptozoo so he could quietly crush him with legal fees. That’s his real goal.

Logan is a double faced snake, but he only got so far because he does know how to manipulate public opinion. This lawsuit is just him taking his sweet time for revenge nothing more.

so how can coffeezilla move forward? he'll never be able to compete with logan's endless money and lawyers.

Coffee did the right move in making a video about it. Hopefully that will convince enough people to donate to him.

But the fact that Logan waited until the majority had moved on from his cryptozoo scam, and that lawtubers were misinforming people that he was fine because coffee had insurance, he wasn't, did steal a lot of coffee's momentum.

You can see it how on this thread despite getting a feature we only got a few pages forward. That's unusual for a thread feature. It proves not that many people are outraged.

So as much as I loath to admit it, Logan's move of waiting to strike was smart. So it all comes to how many people don't fall for it.

Legal Eagle covered this on his channel which gave it a bigger signal boost. He essentially reiterates that this case is a shameless attempt by Paul to silence his critics with his boatloads of money and curtailing Anti-SLAPP.

Speaking of Paul, I was talking to a few friends the other day and the topic of wrestling came up and they gushed about how Paul was talented and a fast learner like Kurt Angle was and how he will be a bigger star in the future for the WWE. Wrestling fans are the most pathetic cucks on the planet and I guarantee you that despite this news of him being a scumbag spreading into the mainstream, they will cheer this faggot next time he comes out on Monday Night Raw like they did with Vince Mcmahon even while they complained of how dogshit the booking was because of him.

Logan will get a slap on the wrist, memory hole this, and continue making money wrestling, podcasting, and boxing while never having to face any legitimate consequences.

It's miserable because Logan Paul's conning a group of people not a lot of people care about: gullible idiots and crypto bros. People see their wounds and consider them self-inflicted. While they largely are, that doesn't undo the fact that Logan sold a sham of a product and should be punished for it. Allowing shit like this to slide is how we get to more and more products not doing what they claim to and just handwaving it away because 'oh well, shouldn't have trusted how we advertised it, right?' Give people like Logan Paul and company a leg and they'll eat you, your house, and your country too (the gaming market is an example of this).

The precedent of acceptance would be disastrous. It's all slippery slopes.

But I think Logan himself has waned in popularity to some degree as well. He's not "Logan Paul, Youtuber and Entertainer" anymore. He's now "guy who makes X and Y" or to others "some wrestler idk" on top of having a brother who has delved into a niche and been all but forgotten in the pop consciousness and routinely gets mixed up with him. He's got fuck you money with less scrutiny and eyeballs on him, meaning he can get away with worse and worse.

Does Logan have a shot at this if he can prove he isn't malicious and scamming people but just stupid and every project he did was mismanaged and failed?
