You're retarded if you paid for this. I'd argue you're retarded if you watched it at all, even for free because you gave a Paul brother your time and attention.
Hard disagree. The Serrano-Taylor fight was an absolute bloodbath and satiated all of my thirst for a good slugfest. I even got emotionally invested. Taylor is a cheating skank and Serrano got robbed. It's a shame they hold doctor timeouts against you. But now, I genuinely want to see Taylor get her shit absolutely rocked and receive the long term brain damage she rightfully deserves. Playing dirty games like that is what caused Mike Tyson to bite an ear off. This bitch deserves to become a Million Dollar Baby/expensive houseplant. At this rate, someone's going to give it to her. I hope she's smart enough not to step in a ring again and retires after this. This is probably the most views her fights will ever get and all she did was piss people off. I imagine her next challengers will be very eager to dethrone her and give her everything she deserves.

By the way, despite people calling this "PPV" from what I read online it was "free" to any Netflix subscriber. I don't know whether that is accurate because I cancelled my Netflix shit ages ago.

I don't follow male-on-male contact sports very much, but I'm familiar with Tyson's reputation. But as soon as they mentioned this was his first professional fight in like 19 years or some shit I knew he would lose. In any case I was still hoping for Tyson to win purely out of dislike for the Paul brothers as well as respect for Tyson.
Why did Tyson agree? Is he in financial hardship or something?

I'm here for the same reason. Didn't even watch the fight, it's more entertaining to just open the thread and watch the five stages of grief play out from people who got their time and money swindled out of them AGAIN. "But it's Mike Tyson, it'll be different this time!" No, it's not Mike Tyson, it's money. It's money every time.
Bro I don't know what Jake Paul's fights are like because I don't think about Jake Paul. I didn't know this fight was happening until I saw a poster for it last weekend, I didn't plan on watching it until my usual Friday plans cancelled, and I'm glad I did because a friend came out and we laughed our asses off talking shit and had a wonderful time, and tomorrow I'm going to go right back to never thinking about Jake Paul because tomorrow I get to watch real fights.

The only bummer is that I have a friend who's a lifelong Tyson fan and he was asking for updates while he watches his grandfather die in hospice and I didn't have anything to tell him. "Uh idk man Paul appears to have pissed his pants and doesn't know what a combination is but he's winning on points because Tyson's too busy eating his glove to throw a punch." I told him to imagine a 57 year old man fighting a 27 year old man who's afraid of a 57 year old man, but I might as well have told him to imagine his grandfather with a face tattoo.

Still tickled pink that this was and will be a ton of people's first impression of boxing.

The funniest part of the night has been the guy who thinks Jake Paul is white though.

Thanks for sharing the laughs.

I just wanted to see Jake Paul get the shit beaten out of him. All this fucking time waiting in anticipation, only to be disappointed. It was so fucking quick too. Are boxing matches normally that fucking quick?
This varies. Usually they're 3 minute rounds. And the round amount varies. The highest rounds tonight was the second match that went to 10. I'm pretty sure that was only 2 minute rounds too.

Tyson and Paul was 2 minute rounds and only went to 8. I'm pretty sure the fight between the women went on longer. But yeah, usually fights are pretty short because fighting is a very exhausting sport. After a few minutes of fighting someone, you're going to be fucking tired. It's kinda what made the women more impressive, they were going all out the entire time, while the average fight slows down the further it goes.

Welp, that's it, it's over. Nice sportsman ship, but Mike gives me hope ya know? Able to dodge punches at his age, especially almost 300 of em
If Tyson is dodging even 40% of those, the people who say he "got gassed" are full of shit. You don't dodge in the exaggerated way Mike did unless you have good reactions and control and plenty of gas in the tank. Tyson was doing that shit all the way till round 8. He wasn't THAT tired.

No.

No but he's 60 and worth about 10-20 million and the Paul Bros offered him another 20 million to do this. Pretty easy math.

>Jeet sexually assaults brazilian
>Solid female slug fest
>Fake and gay fight between Jew and retired elderly nig.
Was a good night watching with friends. Witnessed some irl gamba rage (I have no idea why he would bet 2k on Mike :story: )
I expected no knockout, I'm more excited over the coming cope posts not realizing its production. I hope others enjoyed the night with frens or family and had some good banter.

I think a big part of that was that both of their big goals was to not get knocked out. Do I think there was some seedy backroom deal where they shook hands and decided exactly how the fight would go? No. That would have at least attempted to look entertaining. I think it was more about what the both of them wanted out of this, get their paycheck without a concussion or getting too embarrassed.

Tyson went out, looked good for a couple of rounds and knew Paul had the ability to land a big one on him. For all of his doom and gloom about legacy he didn't want to hurt his pride. He also didn't want it to be some big circus about how mean old Jake Paul beat up a helpless old man. People were chomping at the bit to say that already but imagine if he got bloodied of floored.

Jake Paul got exactly what he wanted. He won the fight and got a bunch of attention from his zoom zoom paypigs but he didn't brutalize 60 year old Mike Tyson. He also didn't do something stupid and let his guard down for 60 year old Mike Tyson to decide to throw a big fucking uppercut and knock his head off. So he played it safe, used his reach to keep his distance and landed the hits he needed to win the fight.

At the end of the day it was two guys who didn't want to fuck around and find out. I suppose the lesson here is that if you want brutality than watch women and pajeets box.

yeah no I got a pretty good idea with this knowledge and watching how the fight played out that shit was proably agreed on, albet loosely. Youc an see how paul's fuckng tired and huffng and flailing only a few rounds n while Tyson's just kind of casually ok. He got one or 2 hits in on paul that made it hurt a little but not enough to actually count for points. The announcers were so retardedly hyping up tyson as old and tired as he was just fucking standing there spam-blocking every shot letting a few non-hurting ones in and visibly feigning punches most of the time he actually took a punch. This shit was paid off to advance the Pauls' money and brand and nothing else.

This fight reminded me that I gotta watch Mike Tyson Mysteries again
INFINITELY more soulful than this shit, that's for sure.

I still don't buy it because seedy backroom deals has been boxing's modus operandum for the past 50ish years. Jake wore literally million dollar jewel encrusted boxers into the ring. There was a paytag on the fight of double Mike's worth. Sure, maybe to a degree what you said is true, but rigging a fight and making it not entertaining and rather boring is exactly up the Paul Bros alley. Their athletic careers have both been largely self-indulgent and selfish and I don't see any reason to believe they didn't just offer Tyson a fuck ton to take a dive. It doesn't help that Tyson nearly tripled his net worth tonight. It doesn't help that in camera footage, Tyson looks ripped to hell while Jake looks fluffy. It doesn't help that Tyson is averaging around 9 punches per round, despite dominating the first and suddenly being unable to throw a punch.

You both have good points. Tyson wasn't that tired at the end of the match and those last few rounds was just no effort. I also know that Tyson has no problem doing bullshit for a paycheck.

I guess I'm more thinking that this was a lot of wink wink nudge nudge and not really a contract thing. I don't know about the Paul boys as well as some of the people in this thread do either, I just know they're shitty and do shitty things. So... I could be wrong entirely lol.

What I do know was fixed is Tyson showing his butt on Netflix. That was absolutely done for attention.

Saw that coming from a mile away, father time is undefeated. Casuals will still say this is an upset. Honestly it only makes Jake look worse, he was timid and unable to finish a fossilized Tyson which is beyond sad for a good athlete in his prime. He atleast should've got a KD once or twice. Complete clown show... why was this shit so hyped?!

Imagine claiming to be a professional boxer but only beating up the elderly. At least Tyson, in his prime, was boxing with those his age.
At one point you had a 16 year old knocking out 20 + year olds (this isn't a defense for Jake btw) but thats only a few years and nothing for a freak like Tyson. But 30 year difference? This whole thing was always gonna be fucking stupid. Dudes in his 60s. Sure it's a 60s Tyson but it's still a 60 year old. Chain weed smoking, shroom popping modern Tyson.
*edit Also forgot the absolute monsterous amount of Cocaine during his prime. You can hear even in interviews his breathing is a bit rough. Not terrible but for someone as fit as Tyson was cardio wise you can tell he's most likely clogged up a bit in old age.
