Why doesn't he invest in trading or houses? It's not like he doesn't have the money. I am tired of these normalfags trying inflate the prices of collectibles, i already have enough torture by being born a disgusting greasy nerd, at least let me buy and enjoy my copy of Mario for lest than a trillion usds. He isn't even going to ''enjoy'' them, which annoys me the most. The AVGN, Scott, Jon, etc show a well-cared collection, you can tell they have poured time and money into getting that rare game or toy, meanwhile for him buying a mint condition collectible is purely an investment, they are going to be thrown into a box and probably get dirty/broken while it's price deflates as the time goes.
If he’s like many rich celebs he does but he has a money manager that handles real business investments for him.

This Pokémon shit was about his profession - getting attention on SM and YT.

It was great for him. I’ve heard of Logan Paul exactly three times - his suicide forest video, some fight idk, and now this. He supposedly got the $3.5 he supposedly spent back anyway so this is all just a huge attention coup. He comes out a winner. It was even better being fake for him. People who don’t give two shits about Pokémon will be interested in a big scam. A video of him opening Pokémon booster cards had appeal to a very specific niche only.

I'm tired of this shit. I don't care about fake cards purchased by some hideous hillbilly.

I think it's more complicated than that.
He has other legitimate boxes of cards that he's spent hundreds of thousands (likely millions) of dollars on. It wasn't like this was his first dive into pokemon card collecting.
But I think this deal was probably a win-win for him. Either he gets the boxes of cards he wanted at a price he thought was acceptable, or he gets to make a video about a scam. If the case was fake he was going to get refunded anyways, so it was very little risk, high reward for him.

Why is this featured? Do people really care about how this guy mismanages his money? like to the point of sadistic joy at his stupid blunders. Kiwifarms seems like it's always walking the tightrope of obsessive weirdoes and just having a good time laughing at "exceptional individuals"
These two are retards and possibly some of the most vapid human beings that ever lived, but they make live to make headlines even with negative attention. I agree that we might be losing balance with this, but the Pauls are hated worldwide and not without reason!

This might be a little on schizo territory, but considering they come from money and made a living by shooting for clout, I am willing to believe that they have some people on the payroll precisely to plan their next moves. They themselves are just a couple of vapid retards with colossal egos, while possibly manipulative (or just your standard egotistical assholes) they aren't clever enough to plan this!

Deep down the Pauls are just your average spoiled rotten kids with grandiose egos, there isn't anything special about them other than their infamy. There are whole clubs filled with Jakes and Logans, but most of them are unknown to the public yet they share the same vision of being the social elite of their environs and being complete assholes to everyone they don't respect, which is anyone outside their groups!

If anything these two are a successful version of the lowlife retards who like to mimic celebrity assholery to fuel their delusions of grandeur, except they come from money and are actually successful to a degree. Give or take five years and they will be even more fucking pathetic as they will be nearing their 30's and still act like a couple of manbabies!

Trading and houses are far more regulated markets than pieces of cardboard.

I looked up those gi joe cards and some of the first tesults are "graded" cards charged at 100 to 900 something dollars each. Card scalpers and graders are shitscum and pure money laundering in some cases like the recent shit with the pokemon cards but like yeah that money is easily made back especially when non-scalped trading cards from across time tend to run from like 5 to 30 dollars depending on rarity and demand. At post-corona inflated prices of current day "collector markets" lowest you'll get is 40 or 50 for some ones online it seems.

Seriouslyt though fuck scalpers and scammer-scalpers. Both of which fill the internet these days more than legit sellers to the point it's less convenient to by shit online than in some random ass flea market.

EDIT: WAIT IT WAS 3 MILLION NOT 30 THOUSAND? YEAH NAH NO WAY YOU'RE GETTING THAT MONEY BACK LMAO JESUS FUCK.

Did he at least get some nice G.I. Joe cards out of this? Like, were there at least some that had some cool battle scenes or had rather nice artistic depictions of Scarlett or the Baroness?
The set is basically bio cards for the bulk of the GI Joe cast (living and dead) and random vehicles with an emphasis on the 1990-1991 assortment, about 20 random issue recap cards taken from GI Joe 1-40, and generic as hell artwork for the main cast.

I’ve never seen a Pokémon card and have no idea why anyone would pay insane amounts of money for them, and I don’t know or care who Logan paul is.

That said, I did just sit through 2 hours of a calm, patient Canadian nerd explaining all about barcodes, thermal printers and sticky tape, and that dude was right all along.

apparently the bald guy in the video who sold him the box gave him back his 3.5mil but is trying to get his money back still which is like 2.5+mil since the box went through a chain of up-sellers.

so brogan paul didn't lose a penny, and is likely going to make a lot of money off his trending advertisement for his new sports drink of a video, he's a douche but he's smart and this was likely all planned for a guerrilla marketing campaign

Ah, so it got caught in the "scalpers buying off scalpers" hyperloop like everything else online these past 2 years? explains a bit lmao.
