These dipshits are both in their early twenties and balding at a truly astonishing rate. Most (if not all) of their appeal hinges on their youth; they're like boy band members in that regard, with the accompanying rapid expiry date. They have no real skills, long-term appeal - or even personalities, for that matter. It's a safe bet that most of their fawning tween girl fans have crushes on them because they're still in an age range where they find them appealing. Once even those atrocious combovers no longer work and they just have to accept it and shave their heads, it'll age them at least ten years. On some deep, instinctive level, they both understand and fear this. Overnight they'll go from looking like doofy frat guys to seedy chrome-domed high school gym teacher desperately trying to still look cool to teenagers (Logan) or convicted sex felon most likely to sell crack to your underage daughter (Jake).

That's a good point, but you have to consider if they're concerned about their appearance and they have such a large amount of money, then it's likely when their hair loss inevitably progresses (just look at their father) that they will be able to pay for the services of a top hair transplantation surgeon, and any other cosmetic procedures they may desire to keep their "youthful looks" marketable for many years to come.

I like Pewdiepie, and I'm definitely not a kid. He matured over the years, and now he is kinda too mature for younger kids.

In my opinion, Paul bros' problem would be solved overnight if only parents were paying attention to what their children are doing. I guess most of kids are now raised by single mothers, and as creepy as it sounds Jake and Logan are the only male role models that are not fleeting.

The best solution to their problem is to replace them with healthy male role models. Tough call, I know. But maybe pussification of males in Western hemisphere will finally stop at some point, and even kids will see that Logans are not heroes?

@Gorilla Tessellator The Paul brothers are symptomatic. They're definitely role models to the newer generation; kids want their lifestyle and want to emulate them. But I don't believe they are leaders, merely two savvy businessmen that struck a cord among the gaggle of ecelebs scattershotted the web looking for what stuck.

Parenting (or lack their of) is probably a major variable in their success. I'm not delusional enough to believe we can "go back" to Leave It to Beaver style parenting in this timeline, but there has been a dearth of authoritative guidance for the youth. Youtube and media have been a primary daycare method for most children, as adults themselves are distracted by the electric glow (which themselves were tutored on at a young age). The same phenomena that makes the Paul brothers so successful is probably what makes people like Jordan Peterson are so appealing as well, for the opposite experience in the spectrum of Chaos and Order.

In the end, I think these things sort themselves out naturally. The vapid shit eventually gets exhausted, while that of value gets expanded. The Paul brothers will get forgotten in time, but Dear God do I wish more stuff get produced that's actually worth being remembered down the line...

PDP´s videos were absolutely unbearable due to how unfunny they were. How he got so famous is beyond me. But there´s one key difference, while I did´t like what PDP did, at least he seemed, and seems to this day, like a pretty alright dude. I´d definitely smoke a joint with him. And now, his post-self awareness, non-lets play stuff can be decent.

You could have all the money and the best surgeons in the world, but to do any kind of successful hair follicle transplants (like Elon Musk's) there needs to first be hair to transplant. If you have a thick back and sides still, you're in luck. Greg Paul could thin out his remaining hair by half and still not even have enough to cover his entire scalp in anything barely more than peach fuzz. Going by how quickly the younger Pauls are losing their hair at such a young age, it's pretty safe to bet that the same fate is in store for them.

Might be powerleveling here, but as someone who was already far past being a full-grown adult when PewDiePie blew up I couldn't understand it to save my life. A much-younger family member showed me his videos and all I could focus on was how unbearably annoying and unfunny it was with all the screeching and jump cuts and stupid edits. Just wrote it off as stupid bullshit I'd never understand and went on my way.

The next time I watched a video of his was years later, and it his response video to the LP suicide forest fiasco. Still found him kind of irritating, but the kid seems to have matured into a pretty reasonable and well-spoken adult who's smarter than I gave him credit for. Like you said, there's a certain cynicism and self-awareness to him that I like, and I can respect him for that.
