Life of Black Tiger was an odd choice for a game to be chosen for AVGN, and the concept trying to link this to Fred Fuchs is way too forced and would be better to just talk about the game without having the idea of linking Fred into this.

Chex's one is fine really, reminds me of the Swordquest episode where it's just chilling out talking about games, just an okayish episode really.

I knew about Chex Quest but seeing it running with the Brutal Doom mod was unexpected. I wasn't really aware of the sequels either. The heavy metal version of the theme was pretty funny. I didn't hate the previous episode, I thought it was cool he got Gilbert on there, but yeah it was pretty aimless and didn't get that many laughs from me. I'm just happy he's making episodes regularly again.

I don't think Life of Black Tiger was a bad choice, but I do think Gilbert Gottfried was since he gave zero fucks and didn't bother to try.

I remember when out of nowhere, April began engaging the fanbase. She didn't dox her name (it's been known as long as the AVGN has anyway) but did include a photo of her and James. As someone married to the original E Celebrity, it would have been bad if James made up drama

Aren't they expecting number 2? Is it another girl? What's his daughter's name?

"How James Rolfe (AVGN) Avoids Drama"

Step 1. Don't be a complete reetard
Step 2. Repeat step 1

I think they already have two. They're having a new one already? His cashflow must still be pretty good if he's still cranking them out.

James can’t stop reproducing. The NCU is gonna be the next big internet thing in 20 years and he’s preparing for it

The episode had some funny things in it, and i for once liked Silverman in this, but it's getting grating that he must invent new ways to "be forced" to play games, i get it for some Halloween episodes and they have been some good episodes following this formula, but i sure miss just reviewing some horrible games just for the heck of it.

Deus Ex/Bloodlines style, every time this game is mentioned, somebody probably loads up Research Indicates's LP for the 100th time.

Edit: Jesus, this needs a motion-sickness warning. The Dennis Nedry bit is good, mostly due to all fat people looking the same.
Trespasser truly is a tragic case. All the pieces were their it just needed more time, money and polish and Tresspasser could have been among the greatest of the immersive sims. Still it's rather impressive how dedicated the community for that game is.

Anyways anyone ever play the King Kong game based on the Peter Jackson movie. Their are elements oof tresspasser that remind me of that game (The island setting, dinosaurs, no HUD, your character counting the amount of bullets they had left.)

It really is one of the greatest LP's ever made.

I'm watching the episode and at 1:24 the audio is fucked. Very poor audio which is extremely rare in a video.

Pretty good episode, the development story of Trespasser is interesting as fuck so the parts of the video about that and interview were cool

Yeah, I've gone back and played Tresspasser with the fan patches. It's... It's sad, because it really is incredibly immersive at times, and even if some of the tech didn't work as well as they hoped, it wasn't a lost cause... But a few key bad decisions (like the whole arm... thing...) makes it virtually unplayable, even with the fan mods. Also the bugs. The never-ending bugs.

Has any mod tried to turn it into a straight FPS with Half-Life 2-style grabbing with psychic powers? I wonder how not seeing your arm would screw up the manipulation of objects, though.
