i like the new vid. Had no idea that location was used for so many power rangers, star trek, etc. shots. I knew about that one other mountain place that was used in Power Rangers, Star Trek and Bill & Ted

One of my favorite things is when James is shown a modern game and it completely blows his mind.
It might have already been pointed out, but a while back him and Mike are doing something with a 360 dashboard on the screen behind them, and he has no idea what he's looking at.He really is a boomer.
Same, as that was the entire point of the AVGN "character"; some old man who was still mad at the toys he used to have way back in the day and refusing to let it go. Which made people finding out he wasn't someone who kept playing vidya into adulthood something of an autistic personal slight.one reason I like James content is he remembers stuff the way a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s would.
Holy Hell, those responses. I know people living through other people is nothing new, but this is pathetic. What a fucking loser. Imagine having your identity based off of a person reviewing games then crying about it. What a bunch of incels
I thought you were going to quote Ghost in the Shell but yeah.1 Corinthians 13:11
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
This what was taught to previous generations. For some reason, recently, our generation is proudly defying this.
It's perfectly OK to outgrow video games, comic books, toy collecting, and such. The last game console I had was a PS3. I barely played it, compared to the hours I put into gaming as a youth.
So I don't get why people try to push James outside his wheelhouse. There are still so many shitty 8-bit and 16-bit games to cover. When he has done 21st century console games, it sucks. Check out his awful Drake of the 99 Dragons review for example.

Typical TCT user.3000 games, and he's only been collecting since he discovered the AVGN? What a consoomer.
I still play videogames, read comics, anime, etc. Though I have a job and college and prioritize them. It's summer already and days I feel a lot more aimless when I don't have college for a few months. Growing up also comes with the discovery that being productive actually can make you just as happy, and you need a good balance. Find a lifestyle you like and can sustain. James did find it with filmmaking as he could enjoy a medium he liked (movies) while making a profit.1 Corinthians 13:11

Very late but no I have to disagree, To Boldly Flee Is way worse , at least James actually had passion for the film and he did genuinely work for years on this ‘magnum opus’ of a film. Even if it’s turned out terribly, it doesn’t seem cynical in any way. Oh and the soundtrack genuinely slaps. I can’t say any of that for TBF, the entire production cycle was reportedly hell for everyone involved, and I don’t see any sense of passion or any feeling that anyone enjoyed being in a single frame of that shitshow. It’s not even so bad it’s funny, just a cynical and depressing watch throughout.Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie

I literally had no idea who Bootsy was for years. Still don't know what he sounds like and don't plan to find out. The one clip I saw of him made him look like a massive douche.I would be part of the group of people who don't watch anything from James' outside of AVGN. I wouldn't have known about him reusing the stuff from Contra memories unless it was pointed out here. So for that, I won't fault him for reusing content from his other stuff
AVGN was the worst movie I've ever personally seen. I've never seen To Boldly Flee because I never followed Nostalgia Critic, but everything I've heard about it just sounds like cancer.Very late but no I have to disagree, To Boldly Flee Is way worse , at least James actually had passion for the film and he did genuinely work for years on this ‘magnum opus’ of a film.
