So, has this ginormous cunt faked a suicide attempt for sympathy yet?
No but he probably faked a swatting attempt for that same reason. AFAIK multiple people in here are waiting to hear back on police report requests to verify the validity of his claims.
he probably forced that slimy promo video out of his own will and not of the community.
That's the impression I had after seeing the video in his stream. Especially after knowing his associate was the one who put it on the smart fridge.

It's probably not "fake" but with Mald there's also some scheming behind it, which in my opinion puts it in a gross light. Almost nothing Mald says is factual, and almost nothing he does is genuine. With Mald everything is "fake" to some degree.

The dialogue system is just a microcosm for "this man claims to be a 20 year veteran but is writing code akin to Yanderedev. A dude who admits he doesn't know what he's doing". It would be passable if he was an amateur making something for the first time. But when he smugly chuckles about how his code performs so well it'll run on a smart fridge I expect better. He should be making code that makes you go "huh I never thought about doing it that way" not "Why the fuck are you doing it that way? It's the worst piece of shit I've seen."
The dialogue system he has setup still isn't okay for an amateur. I'm and amateur. Me and my kid fuck around with game dev for fun and it didn't take us more than 10 minutes to Google the best practice and then create a way to import a spreadsheet and parse it. Dudes ego is off the chart.

We are at fucking day number 15 of July. How there is no update yet?
Yeah it’s the 15th. That’s Tuesday.
I said the update’s probably going out Wednesday. That’s the 16th.
Because I don’t stream this Wednesday, so I can actually hammer on it all day.
There’s nothing else scheduled. Just writing. Just me sitting down and writing until it’s done.
The bottleneck isn’t code. It’s not art. It’s writing.
I do all the writing myself.
It’s a huge amount of dialogue. Multiple routes. Lots of character paths.
It takes three to four weeks every patch just to get through all the writing.
And that’s literally all the work left on Heartbound. Just writing.
Implementation takes like, an hour.
I can implement four weeks of writing in one sitting.
But the writing? That’s the hard part. That’s what I do off stream. That’s what takes time.
So yeah. Update’s not out on the 15th.

"That FrAmEwOrK was written 8 years ago in Gamermaker Studio *1.4 beforeeeee struts existed.

While watching a recap of latest cope fest he repeated that line like 10 times. Every good narcissist got the excuses not only on script but always packed with qualifiers and shit or however you'd call it.

Its not just 8 years old
Its in game maker studio
Game maker studio 1.4 mind you
Before struts(my b if thats not the word)

Its like the narcissist pray of excuses. Every step the way hes found himself an out.

I completely agree, but it's also fair to point out he probably forced that slimy promo video out of his own will and not of the community.

edit: to be clear, the moment that the "challenge" was open to the community, it's possible Jason already knew it was fairly trivial to port to a smart fridge, probably by hearsay or he was envying another persons work. And he could have already tipped off someone he knows to win the challenge, and probably pushed hard on the video aspect of it.
It is a pretty edgy and gay ad promo. The typing shot. Putting everything and a dumbass stuffed animal in the bag.

Yesterday on stream he started saying "updated every month". Bro is really just going to erase history yet again and pretend he never promised updates on the 1st, then the first week. He's already moved on.
I won't be surprised if by September/October, he just completely gives up and ignores everything Heartbound related and gaslights everyone* about it.

*Everyone being all his furfaggot followers.

I really want to say he's given up, but he's financially ruined if he loses it here. Ferret Dachau, gone. House, gone. Everything, gone. I'm optimistic he loses it all and he is financially ruined forever, but those fucking furfaggot followers he has just will not see through the lies.

no offense but you guys are kinda schizophrenic about this voice changer thing. His face moves away/towards the microphone, so of course it’s going to sound different.

It’s really just a fuck ton of bass boost + maybe voice training—but the bass boost alone will give the perception of a deeper voice.

Is there a clip of his “voice changer” malfunctioning without him moving his head away from the mic?
So you're saying he's not using a voice changer, just some sort of software that changes his voice by adding a fuck ton of bass? Is this really a meaningful distinction?

I've seen this confused in a few other places online, so I feel like providing the correct word: structs. The easy way to remember is it stands for structures, as in structures of data.

I'm spoiled by modern programming languages, I grimace at the thought of having to use a langague without structs or data classes.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't the CPU architecture get in the way of running the game? Because if that fridge is ARM (which I think it might be after a couple google searches), and his game is meant for PC, which is most likely x86, wouldnt that require it to be emulated to begin with or just mirrored?
He doesn't program this game from scratch, he uses a game development engine called game maker, with it's own language, which supports a wide variety of platforms, including Android, which runs on ARM, which his "Smart Fridge" probably runs.

Even if it doesn't, and he custom-tailored his game to run on a fridge, don't you have anything better to do with your time as a game dev?

I think his point was that his magic number array anti-pattern made it possible to run on the fridge, as if somehow using any other better practices or data structure isn't O(1). He makes it sound like only because of his 1337 coding skills could his game run on a smart fridge.

Just to add more information, yes, the Smart Fridge runs Android, you can see at the start of the Fridge video that the guy makes an APK and tries to run it on a Smartphone.

And again, Jason did absolutely nothing, in the same video the guy struggles to make Heartbound work on Android, so he modifies the code. I repeat, Jason did nothing, he just have this bad habit of taking other people's work and achievements.
