I agree this is obviously one of the most retarded ways of doing this, but unlike almost everything Yandere Dev does, this does not negatively impact the performance of the game. Even all his useless additions to the code don't, mostly thanks to Game Maker Studio, being very retardproof.

He even does the classic Yandere Dev move, of continuing to develop the game on an outdated version of the game engine, sacrificing Mac and Switch compatibility, despite (especially in this case) bringing the game over, seems to cause almost no issues.


"Updating breaks cutscenes" - I really struggle to believe, even gods most mentally deficient programmer, couldn't do what's probably the same code modification, for all of the few cutscenes this game has, in at most a single month.

My point is, that while Yandere Simulator, would need to be completely remade from scratch, for it to be any kind of an even semi-decent videogame, this could likely be finished and ported in 3 months time, even by someone with Thors dubious coding skills. If he dedicated the time spent coping and seething on social media, to working on the game.

Another problem shared between Thor, Grummz and Yandere Dev, is that they all enjoy being seen as a game developer, way more than actually developing their game. They can e-begg and pretend it goes to development, play and criticize other games, from some position of authority, lecture others about the videogame industry,...

It seems that his voice changer have issues with his laugh. Or maybe laugh strains him so much that he cannot keep with his training.

That's probably the best clip I've seen of his real voice resurfacing. Sounds exactly like the voice from the 2017 interview.

I'm leaning more toward it being a trained thing, but I don't see how it would be possible to maintain a fake voice on stream for so many hours at a time.

If you pay attention, he tends to overcompensate after every real voice slip-up by making his voice extra deep in the following sentence. I noticed this happening in multiple clips posted here, especially after he laughs. The following sentence is always extra "growly" as he scrambles to pull up the mask of manliness.

I'm torn.

Elizabeth Holmes from the Theranos scam did the fake voice, lower the pitch thing to manipulate people better create an impression on people. Very much in line with what Jason would do. But also Jason is a lazy fuck, so him doing voice acting training consistently for it to sound natural is doubtful.

Funny thing. He has a story about this. He said he met a japanese switch rep at a con (i think it was pax something) who he claims is very interested in his heartbound game to the point where the rep gave him a namecard. Mald bragged about committing the 'japanese etiquette' faux pas of not bowing and receiving the name card with both hands cause he was so nervous (cause nintendo sought him out!) I've seen him recount this at least twice and I think he also said he's waiting for the game to fully finish and see if switch 2 is out by then.

D3D9, GL4.6, VK, it all does the same shit for a basic ass 2D game, the only consideration when picking one is compatibility, and D3D is compatible with virtually everything through DXVK so it's whatever. Picking on the API someone's using is quite literally the lowest form of criticism you can possibly make, it's basically bikeshedding at that point. I use Vulkan btw

I was wondering if he's getting ganked (unfortunately not) and his chat speed is super slow for a 19k audience. 1 year+ ago he had about the same amount of viewers and the chat speed was crazy fast.
