Jason seeks to disprove he's a nepobaby, but only proves the rule instead.
Your own manager went out of his way to apologize to your father, Jason, because he thought your father was momentarily inconvenienced because some low-level employee spoke to him. That's the kind of culture and power your father had in that company. Your manager not knowing who your father is proves how insignificant you were because you're incapable of shutting the fuck up about your father.
Furthermore, the HR department and hiring managers knew who you were. The company pays your family's medical insurance, they have your name on file through your father's insurance. You also literally handed over a copy of your birth certificate to HR, and completed a background check with them. I wouldn't be surprised if you listed your father as a personal reference on your resume as well.
Nobody calls you a nepobaby because you got an opportunity through your father. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone here turning down a job at Blizzard just after graduating high school. You're called a nepobaby because you provided nothing of substantial value to the company. You squandered a golden opportunity only to work in QA for 5 years. You had every advantage and that was the best you could accomplish.
