So this is supposed to be showing how horrible Lily's upbringing was, right? By showing her as a child breaking something expensive that her father obviously worked to buy, and then by her mom getting fed up with her teenage angst.

I highly suspect that this is taken from life (as is the next panel, mostly) and this is the pinnacle of Lily's parental abuse... get the fuck over it. Kids get yelled at. We don't have any context for the latter, but it's hard to forget that Lily has proudly discussed beating the shit out of her younger sister for hogging the remote was institutionalized for physically assaulting her father.

Lily has also gone on to scream at, regularly insult and dehumanize, and threaten to murder people she doesn't like, so it's real hard to sympathize with 'people were mean to me'. And she doesn't believe in the cycle of abuse so she can't even excuse being a raging bitch by saying she learned it from you, Dad.

Those two are definitely juvenile teenage fantasies about how horrible her first world middle class upbringing was, but this one actually aggravates me because this is a Pokemon comic. Set in the Pokemon world. Where everybody has Pokemon.

A universe where, in the games, you visit Pokemon schools and the kids all battle you with the Pokemon that they brought to class with them.

Why would anybody in-universe be mocked and shamed for showing up at school with their Pokemon? Especially one that's supposed to be as incredibly rare and valuable as Gardevoir are in this universe. Pretty sure this is what happened:

I'm guessing this was supposed to be the breakup with Lizzy Kirstie? This is another stupid argument in-universe. Once again, Pokemon are normal, natural and expected parts of life. This doesn't make sense. It's almost like this Pokemon comic is a thin veneer for a highly skewed perspective on Lily's real life, convincing people of her weo-is-me backstory co-mingled with some revenge fantasies. Almost.

Now, credit where it's due, the overall comic is actually a really sweet sentiment and this is probably the most consistent that Mikaila's art has been for the comic in a while. So good job. Issues still, yeah, but... I know what she's going for and the four pages are cute.

This comic has been a creative outlet for me, and my friends, because as absurd as it is, it has been one of the more engaging things Lily's made.

Good for you. I do mean that. I tried to actually read Madhouse from the beginning the other day and had to give up a few pages in. Between the writing, the art, and the awful choice of formatting it just wasn't worth the effort. But if you're getting something out of it I'm glad.

Lily ends 2022 with a new Madhouse entry hot off the damn presses. And it's 9 panels

This would be kind of nice if I had no idea who made it.

But I do. I think it's absolutely wonderful that Lily wrote this comic to express love for someone she cares about, but, to drag the other people in her life down taints it for me. She has taken as many liberties with her surroundings as she has with her illustrated self. She is busty and thin and perfect and her parents and ex are abusive and mean and she's such a victim. But thank god she has her wife who makes it all better.

I'm gonna end this on a positive note though, cause I'm feeling sappy. Mikay put a lot of effort into this comic, drawing is hard, and from my experience, it feels good drawing things for people you like. To that end, I hope these two make each other happy. I hope they bring the best out of each other, cause at the end of the day that's what marriage is about.

This comic has been a creative outlet for me, and my friends, because as absurd as it is, it has been one of the more engaging things Lily's made. As sure as I breathe air, I'll always have something to say about it. That's one thing that's not gonna change this year.
Have a good night fellas.
I'm going to ruin the good feelings.

It's still pathetic that a grown 30 year old woman is using her Pokemon fancomic to make herself feel better about a break up with a much younger and prettier woman that happened however many years ago it was.

that lizzy panel is really interesting

do you guys remember when lily opened her asks for strangers to sexually rp with her and lizzy was unconfortable because she's monogamic? and how lily basically cheated on her by trading sexual messages with other people?

so now they're redefining this as "my ex was an ABUSER who tried to CUT ME OFF from my FRIENDS and PEOPLE THAT STABILIZE ME" fucking lol

Projection is Lily's main defense mechanism. If she's calling someone else an abuser, you can bet it's to try and throw the scent off of herself.

I hate that this should be obvious satire but it's legitimately impossible to tell anymore.

Lily’s bussiness model to entice more patrons has successfully knee caped her big Pokémon video.

I have every single segment so far released taken for free without ever being a patron of hers, and will give it out for free.

I’ve gathered everything into one post to make it easier to find. Links lead to videos from earlier in the thread.

Enjoy.

The white nationalist to troon pipeline is also real. Remember, Jerry started out as an edgy rightoid as well. The thing these people all have in common is an overwhelming desire to be transgressive and an excuse to hate.

i want to talk a bit more about this panel because its actually kind of hilarious

even if we assume that bringing pokemon to school is normal, most people are bringing in little dogs, cats, eletric rats, not a fucking full grown psychic pokemon. do the teachers allow this? isn't anyone concerned this is dangerous?

and then, what does G do? does she just hang around the corridors? go eat at the cafeteria? stand outside and look through the window like a puppy? does she come to class? does she have her own desk? did she receive a cute high school diploma like those medical assistance dogs?

i have no fucking idea, but this is my headcanon:

And like...they're right to make fun of her, because, for all intents and purposes of what we are shown: G is a pet. Your gf being a dog isn't a good look, and you should be mocked for fucking the family dog lmao

I'll actually give her a pass on that one. She's in a high school. The schools we see in most Pokemon games are elementary schools. It's not really that crazy to think that high school kids who had a Lillipup in elementary school would have a Stoutland in high school. And that's already ignoring that the earlier generations featured you as a ten-year-old child being allowed to wander the countryside without supervision and with your fire-breathing dragon.

Or that half the kids would have a Dark type to reflect their true innermost selves. (Maybe this is why Lily was bullied, since pre-Fairy typing G would easily be beaten up by all the goths and emos.)

'The point about her being dangerous is a little more salient, though.

Both times G evolved it was to defend Lily (first from bullies, then from her parents being upset she's gay or something), and the evolution to Kirlia involved her psychically assaulting children in order to save Lily. Any sensible school would have barred her from being allowed out of her pokeball while on premises. One might argue that the circumstances were self-defense, and I would agree, but Lily wants to be unfairly oppressed so it's only natural that she would be blamed for the injury instead of her attackers,

This goes double for after she evolved into a Gardevoir:

G evolved into Gardevoir six years later, when Lily came out to her parents as a lesbian and they grew extremely angry and violent. They kicked G away when she tried to get between them, but before they could put their hands on Lily she evolved and restrained them with her psychic powers. G then barricaded them in Lily's bedroom and refused to allow the door to open for the rest of the night.
This absolutely would have warranted them calling animal control or the League or whatever police force to take this psychotic monster out of their house.

It's all just indicative of somebody who can't be bothered with internal consistency. Once again, Lily wants all the sympathy due an unfairly oppressed underdog but also wants the biggest badass in the Pokemon world in her back pocket so she's simultaneously too weak to change her circumstances but G is also so strong and scary that nobody can do anything.

While I was rummaging the wiki, I was trying to run some calculations referencing birthdates and apparently Lily -- who was born early 1992 -- was three when she received G -- who was born mid-1994 -- for Christmas, when the Wiki says that G was two. Which, um... wait, hold on.

1992 + 3 = 1995
1994 + 2 = 1996

If we assume that Lily's mother was in possession of Dialga, the Lord of Time, then that checks out.

There isn't even like a wonky birthday thing going on this is just flat out not thinking. Then again, continuity and internal consistency are for suckers!

And like...they're right to make fun of her, because, for all intents and purposes of what we are shown: G is a pet. Your gf being a dog isn't a good look, and you should be mocked for fucking the family dog lmao
Speaking of internal consistency.

In the games it's a lot more ambiguous about how smart all Pokemon are compared to humans-- some are definitely high animal-level intelligence and treated like pets, others are definitely human-level or higher and are provably sentient. There's a difference in how you view a Growlithe versus an Alakazam (although end of the day you stick both of them in tiny cages so they don't get in the way).

However, in Lily's universe, a Pokemon trainer can innately communicate with all of their Pokemon. In English.

So in Lily's universe it is provable to literally every Pokemon trainer as soon as they receive one Pokemon that their pets are actually highly intelligent, self-aware, and capable of having complex conversations with their trainers, and they're still treated as quasi-animals that are literally owned by their trainers. If Madhouse was just considered a comedy this would be easy to ignore, but when it engages in high melodrama and demands to be taken seriously this throwaway detail suddenly becomes much more disturbing.

To that end, I hope these two make each other happy. I hope they bring the best out of each other, cause at the end of the day that's what marriage is about.
Dude, that’s never gonna happen because Jerry is a piece of shit. Mikaila’s okay but Jerry is an abusive man.

Not to mention, I just don’t see their marriage lasting long because Jerry doesn’t have much to offer.

You don't really clip stuff, you just post the full streams. So download links probably work best. As long as they don't expire, you know for posterity sake.
