Oh Jerry. It's been a minute lol. Seems like he's still writing his fanfics and hiding his sub count. To think I used to listen to him while I was still mowing lawns because his videos were fucking huge- the whole Rebecca Sugar hate boner put me off eventually. And getting bullied for having Pokémon (which is an allegory for playing with Pokémon cards) Maybe it's because I'm a bit younger, but as a 01 zoomer, I never saw  anyone bullied for playing Pokémon. That stuff was the shit, even if none of us understood the energy system, trading them and shouting attacks like retards like only 3rd graders can at recess was fun as hell, stfu lilly.

More moaning about her folks. She's really trying to make herself look better.
... 5 years ago wasn't that long...

take a look at her videos. she was on v2. she was an already out trans woman. she had already released salt and sanctuary

... what are you trying to say here lily? is your mom better than we expected or are you worse?

Told you she’d complain and stamp and this idea would never see the light of day.

The world is a bit brighter without it in my opinion.

People can hate the take and the way you say it, Lily. The two aren't mutually exclusive. This is "muh ironic writing tips" all over again. Personally, the reason I get annoyed nowadays with her constant talk of SU, She-Ra etc. is that these shows are long done. I don't want to hear about them again unless some new content is in the works. It's a cycle that only exists to fluff up Lily's ego and allow her to pretend she's "beaten" the media that already ended.

I think that's kinda the most sad part. Like those shows or hate them (They're both flawed in many ways, but so is most media) those shows finished airing. They got endings. The team concluded the story they wanted to tell, in spite of various factors in the way like budget, networks, etc. They accomplished something, and they've presumably moved on to new projects. They moved on with their lives. Lily is still seething about Steven Universe and She-Ra because she has to pay rent and, damnit, that's all people want to see from her.

Lily can barely even finish a web-comic or fanfic before fizzling out, and the only obstacle in her way is her own creativity and passion to see it through.

I know Lily doesn't understand this, but Thing But Gay is not a great premise. Especially when it's Specific Thing That Didn't Really Focus on Romance to Begin With But Now It's Super Gay.

Like, why did you like this thing in the first place if your thought is to turn it into a shitty romance (gay or otherwise?). I know I've postulated about using the power fantasy as a groundwork but The Mummy? Admittedly I haven't seen The Mummy since nearly back when it came out so maybe I'm just ignorant but I feel like a lot of its marketing suggested it was a pulpy action film and not a romantic comedy.

Although if it is a romantic comedy that also features an undead pharaoh unleashing apocalyptic plagues then that sounds like the romcom for me.

"Essence of Thought is reporting on things I posted in a public space on the Internet! THEY ARE A DERANGED STALKER."

By Lily logic any fan of hers is also a deranged stalker for reading her posts and watching her videos. People know that a stalker is a legitimately frightening thing but like any concept just dilute the term and beat it into the ground until it means nothing. Somebody who doesn't like you online and has the audacity to show videos and tweets that you yourself made to prove their point is now considered a stalker.

EoT isn't even harassing Lily, to my knowledge. They aren't directing floods of people to accost her, they aren't trying to get her Youtube taken down, they aren't even reaching out to her personally, they're making a video about a shitty person with a disturbing past. Lily gets to constantly smear and insult her ex-friends and call them abusers without any evidence but gets pissy when people bring receipts about her past.

I mean, sky is blue, water is wet, but it's still frustrating to see it play out over and over while she plays the victim and also hurls unfounded invective to encourage her fans to harass other people.

It's because you're a 2001 zoomer.

I know there was bullying for playing Pokemon. It used to be fandom and nerd shit wasn't liked or common, because the internet wasn't mainstream. By the time you hit 3rd grade would've been ~2007-2008? That's when the internet got more prominent in homes and everyday life. Need shit started to be OK then.

Still, you'd expect Lilly to move past something as silly as someone making fun of a card game at their age, though from my history with Jerry, I'm not surprised they hold a grudge against retarded kids.

You gotta realize, this comic isn't about pokemon so much as it is about her weird Gardevoir love complex. The fact that other pokemon are in this comic feels almost incidental. Someone else pointed this out but Lily was probably made fun of for liking Gardevoir instead of cooler pokemon like Salamance or Charizard or something. You go back far enough you'll find she made posts about why Gardevoirs have to breed with humans because Gallades (her least favorite pokemon) make their lifespans shorter.

She is still angry that Chud McMunson, or whoever, said that Gardevoir is a girly pokemon for gay faggots, so as recompense she has unleashed this bizarre comic onto our mortal plane.
Gardevoirs are all powerful in this comic, and her own Gardevoir has repeatedly beat up several popular pokemon she doesn't like.

Go back far enough you can find her bragging about sweeping people with Gardevoir in competitive pokemon, which isn't impossible, but it goes to show how deep her insecurity for liking this stupid pocket monster goes.

The only reason Liliana wins so much with Gardevour is because she pumps her up with weird candies (I think that's what they're called, I don't play the games) like esteroids until they're overpowered. There's a a bunch of Pokemon playing streams where Liliana does nothing for that for the entire time.

I don't know how candies work on Pokemon nor care about, but it sounded to me like you could make any Pokemon all powerful and beat all others with having enough of them so it's not really an accomplishment.

That's actually a really terrible way to do competitive battling. There's a mechanic called EV (effort value) training. Different pokemon give a different EV value when defeated (Geodude gives +1 to defense, Rattata gives +1 to speed, etc). Using nothing but Rare Candies will only increase stats based on their base value, which means the pokemon gets no specialized EVs. Since every competitor EV trains, that automatically puts Lily's pokemon at a major disadvantage in competitive play.

This isn't even getting into IVs (which are unchangeable and random), or how Natures effect different stats. For instance, if you had a Gardevoir with a Nature that boosted Defense and degraded Special Attack, it would be at a disadvantage since defense doesn't matter as much for a gardevoir and special attack is pretty paramount for a psychic type.

Basically Lily's competitive strategy is lazy and automatically puts her at a disadvantage.

Can confirm.

Gen 3 was when Pokemon fell out of favor and became a baby game for babies. Combine that with her favorite Pokemon being the very feminine-looking Gardevoir (while Lily was still identifying as a boy on top of that) and you have a double whammy excuse for bullying the weird kid.

It's kind of wild to look at a lot of lolcows and realize so much of their maladjustment and damage can be traced to an unresolved desire to wreak bloody vengeance on a bunch of ten-year-olds.

Competitive battling
While our ghosty friend is correct about the mechanics, what Lily was talking about was Smogon battling, which uses a simulator client, where all IVs are maxed out, you can distribute EVs however you like with slider bars, and all Pokemon are at a normalized level (unless you're doing a kooky strategy like FEAR).

Pertinent to that specifically, the idea of tier systems isn't actually based on viability and strength but on raw usage data. While this usually correlates to stronger Pokemon being used more often that's not really a strict sense of Smogon coming together to intentionally keep Gardevoir down. Since she also mentioned considered NU for three generations straight this probably coincides with XY, where Gardevoir gained the fairy typing and a Mega evolution and saw a massive boost in viability.

M. Gardevoir was also considered OU for that generation so yeah, Lily, you're such a badass for using a Pokemon that got MASSIVE buffs. (Also her being all 'Focus Blast, bitch!' like she was super creative and that wasn't a standard offensive Gardevoir moveset.)

Ok clearly it's been a minute since i've caught up on Ol' Jerry's lore. My gosh. It explains why they chose Gardevor for the comics, i always just thought it was because the critter had a dress and could sexulize the shit out of her, but this, is so much more pathetic, lol.

Okay who gives a fuck about competitive Pokémon, we’re here to talk about an unhinged sociopath brony.

So I’m a bit behind on the Lore, but from what I understand, the majority of the fics of been found, EXCEPT for Animal Magnetism.

I question if it’s even real to begin with. The only person to have claimed it’s real is a constant liar. Do we know if anyone ever actually read it? reviewed it?

If not, then I think Peet just made up writing it in order to seem more important.

Place your bets, folks. Is this vauge post about Harmony, Carousel, or Ginger?

My gut is telling me it’s Harmony.
My bet is on Carousel.

She mentioned having depression on stream a couple of times.

It's gonna be interesting to see how Lily will continue this. I wonder is she'd go on a full smear campaign on Carousel, since doing that against a black woman might make her look racist.
