The thing with people like Jin is that the have an astonishing ability to ignore things they don't like, even things that any other people would find repellent or even downright agonising. You watch shows with 'hoarders' somewhere in the title, you can see endless people who live in their hoards, crawling with bedbugs and fleas, completely oblivious to being a 24 hour all you can eat buffet. And given what we know of his hygiene, I sincerely doubt that he's even owned a toothbrush in ten years, let alone used one.

There's no doubt in my mind that Jin does have tooth rot. And while there are a lot of things about this story that you or I find hard to buy completely, I wouldn't be surprised if he's telling as much truth as he's capable of doing. All in all I'm far more taken aback by the brain melting stupidity than what he's talking about.

My only problem with this was one of the sockets got infected and I'll say that even though I suffer from migraines, that was possibly the worst pain I've ever had in my life. It was enough to not only wake me up out of a sound sleep but keep me from sleeping more than a couple hours a day even with pain killers flooding my system.

I wonder if he brought Twilight with him to the hospital?

My question is they normally ask for a next of kin or contact information to call if there's a problem. Who did he put down?

I don't think he's doing it for the shock factor actually, I think he's just trying to get other people to see him and accept what he's doing so he can feel verified. He obviously believes in his own delusions and thinks that Twilight is actually real and loves him, but I feel like there's a small part of him that has its doubts. In some small way Jin probably does doubt that he's actually married to a horse from a children's show, and like all people who have doubts about their hardcore beliefs he's probably worried about those thoughts. So in an attempt to get his doubting thoughts out of his head, he goes out of his way to present himself and Twilight as this happy couple so that he can convince everyone around him that this is indeed a real relationship, and when he feels like everyone believes the things he says and does, he can silence the doubtful thoughts he has and can continue living in his little mad world.

Ah yes, it's sounds more like it. I was really struggling to put what I felt about him in words, but I think that what you said makes sense. He is doubtful, but at the same time, he wants to make sure everyone around him thinks he and Twilight are really married and that their 'wedding' is a legit thing. He needs external validation to keep something as off the wall as this going without it collapsing under the weight of its own impossibility in his head.
