Are we taking bets as to where JoJolands is going to take place?
The JJBA circles I frequent are feeling strongly about the Scottish highlands because of Araki mentioning the scenery for its loneliness, but I feel like he either is going to pick another place or the highlands are only going to be the starting point for the Joestars journey.
Imo, Araki’s sketch suggests this part won’t be stationary.
As for protagonists Araki mentioned it would be Joseph’s descendants, which is either a mistranslation or an actual “Araki forgot moment” because that branch of the family was exhausted unless Gappy literally pumps a loaf in the oven as soon as Jojolion ended (an hypothetical Gappy Jr. would be about 11 assuming Araki starts Part 9 in 2023 in-universe). Guess we’ll learn if Yasuho was really cucked or not.
Considering Araki used the final issues to show us Joseph had 3 siblings, maybe this time the Joestars get the Higashikata treatment and we see a larger family unit.
I’ve seen the idea of twins as protagonists plenty, specially as analogs to Giorno and Jolyne. Personally I would prefer to see a dynamic like that of Joseph and Jotaro of Part 3, maybe even a slight rivalry over which branch of the family gets more protagonism. Remember, in the original universe the Joestars started with a gentleman. In this universe, the Joestars start with a traitor.
