Are we taking bets as to where JoJolands is going to take place?
The JJBA circles I frequent are feeling strongly about the Scottish highlands because of Araki mentioning the scenery for its loneliness, but I feel like he either is going to pick another place or the highlands are only going to be the starting point for the Joestars journey.
Imo, Araki’s sketch suggests this part won’t be stationary.
As for protagonists Araki mentioned it would be Joseph’s descendants, which is either a mistranslation or an actual “Araki forgot moment” because that branch of the family was exhausted unless Gappy literally pumps a loaf in the oven as soon as Jojolion ended (an hypothetical Gappy Jr. would be about 11 assuming Araki starts Part 9 in 2023 in-universe). Guess we’ll learn if Yasuho was really cucked or not.
Considering Araki used the final issues to show us Joseph had 3 siblings, maybe this time the Joestars get the Higashikata treatment and we see a larger family unit.
I’ve seen the idea of twins as protagonists plenty, specially as analogs to Giorno and Jolyne. Personally I would prefer to see a dynamic like that of Joseph and Jotaro of Part 3, maybe even a slight rivalry over which branch of the family gets more protagonism. Remember, in the original universe the Joestars started with a gentleman. In this universe, the Joestars start with a traitor.

I also heard that it could take place in New Guinea, and there was some Italy speculation.

Well it could be very simple with Joseph just cheating on that universe's Suzie Q. A bastard child wouldn't be that far off.

I’ve seen this take and I can totally see it happening but I want to think Araki finally decides to use a setup from Jojolion for something other than red herrings.

I do not know why there is discourse speculating that Dio no longer exists in the new universe when Part 7 is a thing that happened.

I mean Part 7-9 are inan entirely separate universe from the main universe since Parts 1-5 can't exactly happen in the new universe. But the Dio no longer exists thing is dumb since nothing happened that would effect Dio somehow. The only evidence I've seen for that is the anime-only ending that had roundabout due to retarded fujos thinking a montage of past parts shows them in the new universe despite the fact none of the Joestars would even exist the way they are if it weren't for Jonathon prematurely dying, they'd be all rich british people

I am very much aware, hence why I mentioned Part 7 considering the whole thing with parallel universe Diego Brando and The World.

"Dio" still very much exists. He just kinda sorta dies twice.

Ah gotcha, just confused since like Jolyne and the gang still technically exist in the Ireneverse

I finished watching part 6 yesterday and I completely lost it when Versus dug up memories of the super bowl. The first bit of JoJo bullshit in a while to make me break down in laughter at the absurdity

A little bit late but Araki's recent new years card for 2023 might have revealed Jojoland's protagonist (he's inside the rabbit pointing at the word Jojo):

Honestly I have no idea who they could be. Design looks a little feminine but we’ll have to wait and see when Jojolands drops. The palm trees are an interesting feature given how an earlier image had mountains so it’s possible this part would have a trip plot similar to parts 3, 5, and 7

If he is the new JoJo, then Araki has somehow made an even gayer-looking protag than the one that wore a sailor's uniform or the one that wore a designer suit which exposed his chest.

Yeah there is not a full design and only a sideview. So I can't really tell their gender.

It's Araki
We have literally no way to know if it's a male or female until he tells us.

Call me crazy, but does the braid on the side of their head look a little Native American to anyone else?
I don't see it, it looks more like the same braids that Yasuho has but with a different pin or grip
