Just finished Stone Ocean today what an amazing, emotional, and incredibly bittersweet end to the original timeline here's hoping for Steel Ball Run

IIRC, the also cut the KKK.I finished watching the batch, and I do say they deliver on the finale especially when the final opening calls back to all the previous openings and how Roundabout was used as a finisher, despite me personally wishing they used Wonderful World
I don't have many complaints except that I am peeved that they cut certain panels like the Pucci Pose, This shit ain't Disney, and Weather electrocuting two girls he was flirting with.. On the more technical side of things, the episode recap at the beginning of each episode was really annoying to watch on a binge, like this is a general thing I always dislike with shows when they start the episode off with clips of the previous episode, it's annoying.
Other than that, this part was really great and I'm glad it is represented well in anime.
If you're an anime-only and finished Part 6, please start reading Part 7 and 8 since who knows how long till they'll be animated.
Yeah the KKK should've been there, instead of an army of random racist ugly bastardsIIRC, the also cut the KKK.
My favorite OP is definitely Great Days with a close second and third being Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town and End of the World.I'm really excited for the last part of Stone Ocean, and they better fucking give this part a new OP, or... else I'll probablyshit my pants anddo nothing...
But hey, that made me think, what is everybody's favorite OP?
If I had to rank them from my personal favorite to... My not quite as favorite. (There really are no *bad* Jojo OP's, so this is really fucking hard.) It would probably go something like this:
Stone Ocean: I liked the original Japanese version of this one well enough, but I really fell in love with it when I heard the English version by the same singers, Engrish and all. I still want a new one though, and they really should have given us one for Part 2 already, but dammit... give us one for part 3.
Great Days (The Kira version): Although the original is 'great' too, it would probably be a few slots lower if I was ranking that one. I really liked the idea of Kira taking control of the very opening credits. It seemed to make the stakes a lot higher when I first watched it.
Traitors Requiem: Again, the official English version is why I like this one so much. I don't speak Japanese, and I watch the dub not subs. Sorry about that. Even though the Japanese version of this song was pretty great too, and the Diavolo version (which they never made an English version of... so fuck it) is the best, even if it was ripping off the Dio version of "End of the World."
Chase : I heard a fan translated English version of this that was so fucking great that it made me like the original even more. "Until the day I kick your God Damn ass, I'll chase you..."
Bloody Stream : Joseph is my favorite Jojo. I wish I could put this one higher, because it's a great song... But like I've already said, they all are.
End of the World: This one's great too. I don't know what else to say.
Fighting Gold : This one is also fucking great. It's just that I like all the others above it slightly more.
Stand Proud: I keep saying the same thing again and again, I know... I think everybody loves this one, I do too. It just isn't my favorite.
Sono Chi no Sadame : Same as the previous few really, it's still one of the better anime themes I've heard. It just has a lot of better competition in this same series.
Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town: There is absolutely nothing wrong with this one. I even heard an amazing fan English version where somebody got Billy Kametz (RIP) himself to sing it, which is fucking awesome.
The song itself also perfectly fits the first part of Diamond is Unbreakable. Except the "EDM Version" is fucking trash, easily the worst of every Jojo OP. It was bad enough to make me put the regular version this low, because they played it for a few episodes. I still like the regular version though.
Not really. Reset Prison Jolyne had a wasp tattoo and seemed to have a different face. Irene is just Jolyne without the burden of being a Jojo since she has the butterfly tattoo. The difference between both is that Reset Prison Jolyne is just a replacement for the gap that was Regular Jolyne since her soul was destroyed, and Irene is a Jolyne in a world where Pucci didn't exist since his actions caused her to suffer a terrible fate of being a delinquent due to Jotaro being busy with stuff caused by Pucci.I'm confused if it's supposed to be ambiguous whether their souls survived and got reincarnated as normies or got destroyed. And was the reset prison Jolyne and Irene the same person?
"Stone Ocean" is a banger to be sure. (I even ranked it my favorite recently.) But the more I hear "Heaven's Falling Down," the more I like it.So far I've only seen the opening because I haven't had time for the rest. Not a fan of it, but that might just be because the first one was so good.
So their souls are all gone and the look alike are basically taking the role they would have had in the timeline? That is very depressing. Not really. Yeah that's basically what happened. It's very bittersweet. Especially cause in the Ireneverse is a timeline where Pucci doesn't exist which would lead to everyone having better lives since they were fated to meet up due to Pucci. So their souls are all gone and the look alike are basically taking the role they would have had in the timeline? That is very depressing.
Just wait until you find out what happens in the next part...So their souls are all gone and the look alike are basically taking the role they would have had in the timeline? That is very depressing.
This isn't a spoiler but just to get this out there for anime only fans, not saying you believe it, but the Steel Ball Run universe has no relation to the original universe in anyway as the universe at the end of Part 6 pretty much is only different with the events of Part 6 and the character's upbringings...but Jotaro probably has a different first name now.Just wait until you find out what happens in the next part...
It takes place in an entirely different universe, starting over with an alternate version of part 1, and an entirely different version of Jonathan Joestar as the main character... I haven't read the manga yet, but *many* people say it's their favorite, so it's probably pretty good. It's still totally different from every other Jojo so far...
I obviously never meant to even imply that SBR takes place in the same universe as the original timeline of the of the first 6 Jojo parts... It obviously doesn't. I thought I explicitly said that, but here we are. This isn't a spoiler but just to get this out there for anime only fans, not saying you believe it, but the Steel Ball Run universe has no relation to the original universe in anyway as the universe at the end of Part 6 pretty much is only different with the events of Part 6 and the character's upbringings...but Jotaro probably has a different first name now.
