Go Beyond was anticlimactic, undeserved and it's ability to beat calamity didn't even make a tiniest bit of sense. You see it's really small... so it basically doesn't exist.. and thus it doesn't count as an attack... Are you fucking kidding me?

I'm reminded of an old fan theory that Josuke was going to develop King Crimson as his new stand at some point(mainly because of his parallels with Diavolo and every Higashikata stand having "King" in its name) and as fanservicey as that would be I'd definitely prefer this outcome. KC would have been a perfect sensible counter to WoU both in terms of its ability and thematically.
There's a musician called King Diamond, I expected that.

Stroheim is now in ASBR, and people are malding. Mainly people who want Abbacchio and the Part 7/8 characters along with the "REEEEEE HE'S A NAZI" shit

Stroheim is a fun character and its retarded people act like Araki endorsed Nazis with him, and very infuriating.

As for the Smash Bros tier complaint of how he took another slot, that too is retarded. Like I can understand the grievances of the fans of Parts 7 and 8 but the Abbacchio fags are more annoying since ASBR has so many Part 5 characters already and Abbacchio would not be that fun to play.

Also the next character in the season pass is allegedly Keicho from Part 4

Didn't Stroheim inspire a bunch of '90s fighting game characters? Guile has his hairstyle, and Brocken from World Heroes is also a Nazi Cyborg.

Abbacchio would be really stretching it, he had one third of a fight and his Stand doesn't lend itself to making much more for a moveset. I struggle to think of many characters from 8 that would be good fits for a fighting game either, that said someone made Blackmore from part 7 on Mugen and it works great.

YEAH BUT HE'S A NAZI AND ANYONE WHO LIKES HIM SUPPORTS HITLER

Honestly the only Part 8 characters I can see work aside from Joshu as he made it in EOH are Jobin (could even add Tsurugi to his moveset like J. Geil for Hol Horse), Tooru, and maybe Yasuho

Abbacchio would be a bit too basic of a fighter and as I said before, there are already so many Part 5 characters already.

But would that work with his Stand ability? Doing any violent action or even getting near him would cause a nigh-unavoidable attack to hit the other fighter. It'd be way too busted while also staying true to its canon abilities.
I mean you can make it work by having him be some sort of projectile based fighter. Not everything can be stuck to the stand otherwise if things were 100% authentic to the original stand, a lot of stand users would not be in especially Rohan who could just write "You can't attack Rohan" on his opponents.

You aren't even really wrong, but this is hardly the hot take you seem to think it is
My man, I haven't posted "hot take", I've expressed my feelings and determination in actually liking this anime.
Yes it's gay as fuck in some parts, but fuck me, this is one of the most hilarious rides I've had.

Alright I had planned on reading through JoJolion once it finished so I could just read it all at once at my leisure. But even though it finished over a year ago I just never got around to doing that until now, I binged it over the past few days.

And oh boy it sure is an event. I didn't like it as much as Steel Ball Run but strangely I found it easier to read a lot of it all at once, probably because of the many mysteries in it that leave you wanting more.

I think what's most notable about JoJolion compared to previous parts is the all-encompassing weirdness. JoJo has always been a little weird, but in JoJolion it feels like the entire world is insane and so are most of the characters. Nothing is grounded in reality. It's near the complete opposite of Part 4, where Josuke and Koichi were very normal people, and Jotaro was this calming rock-like mentor, and the Speedwagon Foundation was still in the background to help, and Morioh was a mostly normal town (with one big exception). In JoJolion, everyone is just really weird and Morioh is full of a bunch of supernatural stuff and the story in general is wacky and all over the place.

It certainly makes JoJolion unique and interesting, but damn is it weird.

The fights also were definitely the weirdest yet in JoJo. It's interesting that despite going back to "Punch ghosts", the fights were far less direct and had far less actual action than the fights of Steel Ball Run. Fights were more non-confrontational than ever, and filled with so many long range automatic Stands as well. It was like most of the Stands and fights in Stone Ocean but taken even further.

I enjoyed the mystery parts of the story, and the lack of an identity for the villains for most of the Part, Araki took that much farther than ever before. A lot of red herrings and suspicious stuff went nowhere but that's fine. There were quite a few underwhelming reveals as well. I liked how the various main villains were handled in general. While I thought some characters were well developed there were a lot that were just wasted in typical Araki fashion, but it was kind of nice seeing a bunch of likable female protagonists again too. The relationship/romance between Josuke and Yasuho was really fresh for the series.

The way Wonder Of U was defeated by Josuke was complete bullshit even by JoJo standards. And boy was that final chapter abrupt.

I just finished part 6, and guys, ima be real with you, I don't think araki is a genious. At this point I'm convinced he just makes shit up as he goes along 5 minutes before the deadline.

Part 6 is just an incomprehensible convoluted anticlimatic clusterfuck that people think is deep because its vague as fuck and makes no sense. There's a difference between bizzare and downright schizophrenic.

To be clear, I don't care that
everyone dies and the universe gets reset. My issue is that the mechanics with which the universe gets reset, pucci's 35 stands, the way he gets defeated, and how the third universe is completley different, and half the stand abilities being inconsistent, are utter nonsense.

Its also incredibly unfocused. Every single jojo before this one has had both a protagonist and an antagonist with a clear goal and a clear way to accomplish that goal, that was defeated in an epic or ironic (yet comprehensible way) at the finalle.

Jonathan wants to kill dio by stabbing him because dio wants to take over the world.
He climactically dies as Jonathan caresses his brother one last time.

Joseph wants to kill the pillar men by punching them with sunlight because they want to take over the world.
He has an epic showdown and ends up getting launched into space until his mind gets wiped and he lands in morioh.

Jotaro wants to kill Dio by punching him because otherwise his mother will die. (and also because he wants to take over the world.
Epic showdown.

Josuke wants to stop Kira because kira is a serial killer running amok his hometown.
Kira gets done in by one of his very first victims, literally getting dragged down to hell for his crimes.

Giorno wants to kill diavolo because he sells drugs and giorno wants money and bitches.
I mean I can't really describe this over text if you've seen it you know why.

Here the villain's goals are vague at best. He wants to attain heaven which is a vague goal that nobody even knows how he's even going to accomplish it, and Jolyne wants to break out, save Jotaro and stop Pucci. Why does she want to stop pucci? Because the plot says so. She doesn't even know what pucci's goals are.

And the way he's defeated is utterly retarded too.
Emprio somehow gains the ability to use TWO STANDS at the same time despite that being the only established rule since part 3 that that's the one thing you cannot do with everyone having one stand, and uses his new stand more masterfuly than its previous owner to choke out pucci. And if he could do this the entire time why the fuck didn't he use the stand disk at the start?

Whitesnake's powers are also vague as fuck, it manipulates memories, but also bodily functions (pucci blinds himself) and stands, but weather report was able to somehow remove his own stand disk without whitesnake and pass it onto the others?

Meanwhile pucci also gets 50 different stands (but we'll give him a pass because unlike emporio they are evolutions and even then) half of which are completely irrelevant to the plot, you can remove green baby and Cmoon from the plot and basically nothing about the outcome of the story would change.

The problem with stone ocean is that half the time you cannot draw a straight line from plot point A to plot point B. Stands randomly gain and lose powers with no rhyme or reason to benefit the plot and the way both heroes and villains accomplish things are complete non sequiturs.

And this isn't even getting into the new jojo gang. I don't think anyone will disagree that this is by far the weakest gang.

Ernes, FF and Weather Report don't hold up a candle to Okuyasu, Ceasar or Polnareff. The characters barely interact and I don't even understand why they're friends other than because the plot demands them to be.

Like why did anyone give a shit when
weather report
died? They knew him for what, 5 scenes? And the 5 scenes they knew him for, he was a wooden plank for 3 and tried to kill them for 2.

Between parts 2 and 6, I honestly think 6 is the worst one. Even part 1 while it has its problems, at least its coherent. A lot of people apparently speedread this to get to part 7, which makes me think that Araki just wrote this in a haste to just get it over with so he could start work on his magnum opus asap.

Slight PL but I introduced jojo to a girl that I talk to often (Just finished part 2) and she really likes it, been wanting someone to talk about it with who isn't one of the community's autists. I legit didn't know that jojo had its own thread here

As for ASBR, they should add Kenzou for one last part 6 rep, Ringo Roadagain or Sandman for Part 7 and obv more Part 8 representation like Joshu, Jobin, Tooru etc. hopefully there's a 2nd DLC season given how popular the game is

Fresh new pics of our next Jojo from Ultra Jump.

I assume the ones in the background are “spoiler” previews of new chars as well? Only ones I recognize are Tooru and the head doctor.
So from what I understand, there is a big spread of past characters in there in Araki's new style, (hence Tooru). I think some of the ones near the new Jojo are new characters but none of this is confirmed. The text on the left with the JOJOLands part says: "Time has begun to move again". Cool way to say that Araki's hiatus is over
