What's worse is some of them are Mormons. It's actually a scriptural requirement to keep at least a year of food in storage.
Most Mormons dont actually keep more than a few months worth at home.

Correct, the official LDS website advises the faithful build up gradually, and even warns against buying all of it at once if it would break the bank.

"Three months" is the figure that kept getting mentioned in that link, I imagine that's the de facto rule -one year simply isn't feasible for most people. Surely there must be people in SLC and Provo that live in apartments and condos who would be hard-pressed to store three months, let alone twelve months, of food.
Bundy and the "Moolitia" in Nevada didn't have that worry. Cliven Bundy had space for storage, plenty of time (and money) to build up a hoard, and live cattle to supplement his dried goods.
With these guys, absolutely clownish incompetence is the norm rather than the exception.
I dunno. Cliven Bundy was able to convince most Americans he was just a simple rancher (either a hard-working American or a yokel depending on your politics) when he was a moderately successful small businessman who had been cheating the system for twenty years. He and his kin must possess some low cunning.
Ritzheimer strikes me as a man of passable intellect, probably damaged by his experiences in the service.
I can't say I've ever heard of a Militiacow before.
Kiwis, have we covered someone like this before?
EDIT: Someone who wasn'tat any rate?
No, this is definitely new territory for us.
I know I'm repeating myself, sorry: I find that right-wingers tend to be stolid. They can be just as stupid and selfish as any SJW, but they don't "milk" as well. They rage once or twice then shrug and add you to the enemies list.
