Artcow Jonathan Wojcik / Bogleech / Scythemantis

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Of course, Jonahan and her refused to apologize for it, and they took a staunch "well if you don't like it, you can just leave" stance on it. And, wouldn't you know it, a lot of members just up and left to start their own forum.
Which he then fucking followed them to just to bitch at them for being 'too sensitive', after they repeatedly asked him to leave them alone.
I talked to bawg about it. He did come back because people were insulting or complaining about him and his forum, and he got pissy...

Actually plenty of people really were just being sardonic back on edgelord internet and irony should still be "allowed," because it shouldn't really be that hard to detect satire these days from context, but the general public has lost all concept of it on all sides. It feels like years now since I've even seen a prominent figure get away with light sarcasm on social media without having to clarify that it's sarcasm, which negates the point to begin with.

Is there anything that has changed at all with you for this?

By now I think people are still responsible for their own prejudices but somewhere at the root of racism is often still some misplaced anger towards a realer problem they've failed to identify and it still needs fixing either way. It doesn't take a genius to see that prejudice trends along with economic stress and I don't subscribe to the "they'll just find something else to hate" mindset. Yeah there are educated, wealthy people who are hateful, but even they look for poorer, more desperate people to indoctrinate because they know that makes a difference. So yes, reaching out, helping people and being patient with them matters as does making sure everybody has a fair chance in life before they're dismissed as a lost cause.

I really don't care that much about jonathans passed behaviors, but I do like how jonathan likes to justify it with shit like "it was years ago, I was a different person, it was normal back then" but still seems to think people like jim carrey are horrible shitlords for transphobic/homophobic jokes in movies from decades ago and shit.

"Still seems to think" is a nice weasely way of saying you've just assumed something, same dumbass shit Hepa does when he just makes up opinions I don't have to re-offend himself. Every 90's movie had cross dressing and gay jokes and I don't hate Jim Carrey because of an old fictional character, only his current real opinions matter.

I've hated on him because these are his current real opinions:

I am looking forward to the game, mister baglunch. I'm very happy about the progress you've made on it.

Yeah, I was really disappointed in Jim Carrey when I seen him painting disparaging, genuinely very childish paintings of Donald trump on his own. I don’t even like trump that much but it was just so weird seeing him doing that. It was like. what are you doing man? You’re an adult. He wasn’t even trying to be funny. It was just kind of ... sad and obsessive.

Politicians of all sorts get some kind of foothold into doing something practical or logical for everyone and it just takes one loud voice like that for people to start changing their minds over the stupidest shit. Why not just say “I’m not interested in taking that vaccine”? Why the need to grandstand over aluminum lmao? didn’t he also have a part in some woman committing suicide or something?

At some point I think a lot of people just started to roll their eyes at TRUMP IS A POOPOO CACA MAN. ONLY NAZIS LIKE HIM or WOW YOU WANT AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE YOU COMMUNIST? HELICOPTER RIDES stuff. It’s not good for anyone and peoples lives can get worse by focusing on that all the time. It’s mentally taxing and self destructive.

As soon as irrational hate or even just anger over anything starts to take a foothold in your personality, even if you’re right about problems, it gets taxing to the people around you. I think a lot of people are talked about on this website for that sadly.. so it’s cool to see you’re focused on actually talking to others and listening to real ideas as well as sharing your own. Your mortasheen art is getting better, you have your new novel. It seems pretty optimistic.

do you have any new art projects you’ve been lingering on for a while in your head? You’ve had your comic and mortasheen going for a quite bit. It’s be cool to see you explore something new and big again.

I don’t mean to sound attacking and i mean this in a caring sort of way, but I hope to see you have a ton of drive again in creating rather than complaining. Though I’m sure mortasheen and your personal life are taking up a huuuge Part of that too and everyone needs an outlet. Forgive me if I asked this, but would you ever seperate your art and nature stuff from politics? Or do you have any thoughts on that?

I must mention that they were a noisy tenant discord. A small lolcow came and was booted. What I saw is she can't grasp what real and what not. Like she said AH character are real and that she's a mushroom.
Also didn't saw those but I heard she defended hitler

I know very little about discord and feel weird keeping up with chats made by fans of something I created, I get kind of embarrassed by too much approval. I hope that's a weird troll and I don't really have fans who think my stuff is real.

I do have way more fiction ideas than I have time or outlets for. Mortasheen got so big because I used it to consolidate dozens of different concepts already, and then the webcomic became a longer running thing for the same reason and I still have non-stop growing heaps of character designs or environments that wouldn't fit into either of them. Having money to hire artists for the RPG is already getting some Mortasheen concepts done that went unfinished for years though, so the best case scenario is that I'll keep being able to do that, free up more of my own time and just make more things for people in general.

I've talked about splitting up my tumblr by subject but I think I'll never have enough focus because having one quick dumping ground for all tangential thoughts is one of the things I do just to muster focus for everything else anyway. I just avoid most references to specific real world politics or disasters in my articles and fiction themselves because they're just not enjoyable things to think about all the time. Sometimes you know what to expect from something, like it's obvious from page one that Awful Hospital is going to have themes of illness and medical malpractice, but personally if I'm reading a fantasy adventure with no obvious dark or political subtext and quite suddenly the author starts satirizing police brutality or school shootings a couple hundred pages in, well now I'm thinking about terrible things that happen and I didn't really need a fairy tale to tell me that those things happen or are terrible.

...Damn, dude, if this is true, I'd get treatment for graphomania.

I think bog honestly just means that he doesn’t feel like a “big creator” or worth of a huge amount of admiration for one reason or another, so when he gets fanatics it’s socially awkward or outright creepy. The dude just probably wants to draw monsters and be left to his own ideas and devices instead becoming the centre of attention (that’s how this kiwi farms thread started, for example). I can kinda sympathize because people can act like literal doorknobs about other peoples creations or their internet personality. Fanatics are the worst, especially when it’s not marvel or something but on a more personable level.

Those types are just an intrinsic property of Tumblr. You can't hold him responsible for being....adopted by otherkins. It's an inevitability and they would pick someone else if he wasn't around.

I will stop you for a minute... fame is inevitable for an artist.. and looking at bawg position(patreon, etsy and the ocassional kickstarter being his sole monetary income) it is obligatory. You make it like bog want the butter and the money of the butter; He want to good stuff that fame bring; money and glory but he don't want the bad part: creepy fan, wrong kind of attention and also troll
...maybe your right...

forgot to mention that I'm not talking about deviantart crap I mean decent art skill. And speaking about patreon of popular artist with a median of 2000 to 4000 buck. Bawg is really lower tier with roughly 890 per month with 167 contributor https://www.patreon.com/awfulhospital
Ex yanderedev have 2884$ per month and 630 contributor by just selling hope
