Actually plenty of people really were just being sardonic back on edgelord internet and irony should still be "allowed," because it shouldn't really be that hard to detect satire these days from context, but the general public has lost all concept of it on all sides. It feels like years now since I've even seen a prominent figure get away with light sarcasm on social media without having to clarify that it's sarcasm, which negates the point to begin with.
By now I think people are still responsible for their own prejudices but somewhere at the root of racism is often still some misplaced anger towards a realer problem they've failed to identify and it still needs fixing either way. It doesn't take a genius to see that prejudice trends along with economic stress and I don't subscribe to the "they'll just find something else to hate" mindset. Yeah there are educated, wealthy people who are hateful, but even they look for poorer, more desperate people to indoctrinate because they know that makes a difference. So yes, reaching out, helping people and being patient with them matters as does making sure everybody has a fair chance in life before they're dismissed as a lost cause.
"Still seems to think" is a nice weasely way of saying you've just assumed something, same dumbass shit Hepa does when he just makes up opinions I don't have to re-offend himself. Every 90's movie had cross dressing and gay jokes and I don't hate Jim Carrey because of an old fictional character, only his current real opinions matter.
I've hated on him because these are his current real opinions:
