You should look into a protection order (alongside with whatever you choose - I would personally have hit up RCMP last night). I don't know much about protection orders, but I would definitely have one as well....

Alongside that, I'd be reporting EVERY strata violation to your council, and INSISTING that they follow up on it (not implying they don't). A strata council has an obligation to enforce their bylaws, and if your strata council goes through the proper steps and depending on your bylaws, there is no reason they shouldn't be able to fine him (or technically the unit owner) for repeated infractions that are not remedied. Quite honestly, if that means impromptu weekly short strata council sessions to have every complaint addressed/minuted/documented, I'd push for it. I would be hitting him up with as many fines as possible. A fine can be assessed every 7 days if a violation does not get remedied (if you handle it properly - dot your i's and cross your t's).

Window tint? Noise violations? Flag on a balcony? Anything and everything. These things need to be reported by residents so that council can address the complaints. If you need additional bylaws adopted to address whatever fuckery he might be doing on premises, talk to your strata manager about having those brought forward at your next AGM for a vote.

It's determined only when you make an application and explain why the public safety rights (Charter-s7 in Canada) overrides the right to personal privacy (Charter-s7). Rights of the many versus right of the individual. But, this isn't automatic, you have to make an application under to FOIPPA. It helps if the applicant has standing. In this case, a member of the community in which Yaniv resides.

Well I take it back then. I did not know that. That is absolutely fucked up. I still maintain that it is not in the public best interest for landlords everywhere to be able to access information like that any time they want. I value my personal privacy quite a bit and I'm not a fan of the government giving my info or anyone elses info out to any homeowner that decides to rent out a basement. It will not shock you to know that people can be completely fucking crazy and allowing any average citizen to access your info like this is a bad idea. It goes both ways you know. I've had a landlord burglarize me before.

I think he's probably well aware that now the information about him is out there and he can't take it down it's only a matter of time before some strata resident decides to have a discrete chat with Bob Adams about his many code violations.

Likely a shared host where he hosts some sites and uses TrustedNerd.com for mail delivery, which is a lazy way that some shifty ppl use to snoop on clients' mail. Nice. I think the SPF value is probably benign- that 205.134.253.188 IP is one that the site has been hosted on previously. Basically it says that outgoing mail from email addresses from jonathanyaniv.com is fine when sent from the IP on the A records (which in this case will be CloudFlare IPs, so irrelevant), from the Google mail servers that take care of actually receiving his mail, and also from that 205... IP. Looking at that handy DNSlytics site report for that IP (archive), that IP is also on a range owned by InMotion and hosts a whole bunch of domains.

I suspect that Yaniv is probably just having InMotion take care of hosting his websites rather than providing a VPS and administering it himself, so 205.134.253.188 is probably just a mail server that InMotion use for all their hosted web clients. They might send out error messages, downtime alerts, stuff like that from a service that runs on there. It looks like the trustednerd.com site data is being shared out of a user's home folder under '/home/jonath29/', and with 'jonath29' being a handle that absolutely noone would ever choose for themselves, it has to have been autogenerated by a virtual hosting provider.

True, but they now have a competing interest. If a Sikh worker got a face full of pepper spray causing him/her to back themselves into a deep fryer, for example, that worker could argue that the employer didn't do enough to safeguard this worker given that the facts on his arrest and his racism have been widely covered. If those two women JY thinks are @WGkitty or the Kitty himself were assaulted by JY or MY, they now have grounds to sue the Strata, especially if he/them had prior gone to Strata over safety concerns.

Isn't this kind of redundant when talking about Yaniv? He has a sub forum with all of his behavior documented, multiple news articles and his SEO links directly to all of this information. The information is readily available without going to a registered sex offender list.
Just as a general rule though criminal law trumps privacy law. I've seen lots of cases where people try and use privacy law to avoid fines but it doesn't work. Obviously not comparing a speeding fine to a registered sex offender but it's the same principle.

He already says he’s filing a case against New York Fries. But apparently he was served properly according to the manager of the location so it’s a slanderous case. Which could backfire massively on Yaniv if the establishment breaks out security footage of him being served and not discriminated against (like he claims). The store could pretty much sue his ass for a ton of reasons.
