I'm pretty sure that in Canada any small lender using the property as security would actually require a second mortgage or a caveat on the property. He's too highly geared for a second mortgage and the paperwork is expensive, and a caveat leaves you last in line with nothing if the market is soft. During that same hearing the corrupt judge (if not corrupt, why make us do that in the presence of that stalker when a meowmox author had to leave to avoid being roped into yaniv's stalking campaign?) made those of us watching reveal our identities, which yaniv promptly could be seen writing our details down for their subsequent doxxing a day or two afterwards. I think Canada works like the US in that you cannot use bankruptcy to dodge court awarded fees and damages that were assigned to you before the declaration of bankruptcy. I believe the one exception is undergoing liquidation, to have all assets sold to pay back as much as you can, they do sometimes allow that. But, most of the time, the liquidation of assets has to be likely to cover most or all of the costs associated with the fees or damages awarded by the court, with it only being acceptable for covering most of it if the party who was receiving the money agreeing they are made whole with less than the full amount.

The Yaniv family have a mitochondrial disease. His mom has it, his aunt has it and he has it.

The effects of theses illnesses is extremely unpredictable, it can affect multiple organs, and the severity of symptoms can differ significantly even among family members carrying the same mutation. It depends on what proportion of good/bad mitochondria you inherited from your mother. Since the brain is such an energy hungry organ neurological symptoms are very common. If the brain is not getting enough energy it will cause progressive damage. Being as obese as he is is going to make this worse for him and speed his decline.

I'm not convinced it isn't some grift. No proof has ever been provided.

This kind of thing can be the type of diagnosis doctors will give people that constantly bitch, but there is nothing wrong with them, and they just won't fucking stop. These people send messages and call every day with some new minor complaint that means nothing, or some new test they want to try to see if they can find anything (even thought nothing has been found year, upon year, upon year), and if you don't message them back or call them back the same day, they call first thing the next day and keep calling until they get a response. These are the people that make healthcare professional suddenly quit one day and decide to work at Burger King.

If they sequence their DNA and find a mutation of unknown significance (which is 90% of the mutations in the human genome that are neutral in nature, they aren't an advantage and they don't cause any trouble), they can say "Well, it's probably nothing, but there might be something here. We can't be sure". The patient will latch onto it like a drowning man to a piece of floating debris and then make sure to mention it to everyone they meet at every single opportunity unprompted. They make it their entire life. This is a good indicator that the patient has what we now call a "functional neurological disorder". It basically means the patient is full of shit, but they actually believe so hard that something is wrong with them it actually causes vague symptoms to manifest. The vague shit will never go away but it will never kill them either. Give them a worthless diagnosis and maybe they will leave you the fuck alone to actually deal with people who are actually sick.

I have seen patients with real mitochondrial disease. A total of 0 of them have and will make it to Miriam's age. This is not a disorder where when it is real that a person has a normal lifespan. Real mitochondrial disease is one of the saddest diseases I have ever personally seen. Seeing someone who is 16 who has the pain and deficits of someone who has lived 50+ years of a very hard life is awful. This is especially true because 90% of the time you can't do shit for them except try and make their life less terrible as they wait to die in a miserable way. There is no greater pain as a healthcare provider than seeing someone suffering that had nothing to do with their situation other than being born and there is jackshit all you can do about it.
