Depends. The "progressive stack" is fickle and fluid, and trannies in particular are seriously pissing people off lately (notice how lots of different sports are declaring "nah, we're chromosome testing now and you're gonna compete with your real gender"?). Even the kangaroo court "Human Rights Tribunal" in Canadia has ruled against Yaniv in recent years, and that used to be his go-to for instant victory.

No, you don't have to get physical, but then you won't exactly be a very good bounty hunter either. It's not quite as retarded as "Dog the Bounty Hunter" but they do tend to be private investigators with whatever licenses they need to operate in whatever state(s) they work in, and depending on the state, they may well have legal protections against bullshit claims like "unlawful detainment," "kidnapping," "false arrest" and the like if they're acting in an official capacity as a bounty hunter to apprehend someone with valid arrest warrants for failing to appear and the like.

So yeah, bounty hunters can indeed get physical with their prey. Imagine Yaniv trying to pull that shit on someone who actively wants to escape and isn't afraid to use violence to get away. He only ever gets physical with people when he thinks they're weak and/or he believes (or knows) authorities are nearby to protect his flabby ass (figuring the presence of actual LEO will scare people away from taking a swing). Yeah I just looked into the general requirements/qualifications for being a process server in the US, and they don't even give a shit about driving record. "Have car, have license, over 18, can write at a 3rd grade level" seems to be about it. I expect Canadia is even less stringent. They probably just have "has a pulse" or something.

Edit: BTW, in the US apparently the average pay for it if you do it as "gig work" full time is about $45k-$55k per year. Not bad just to drive around handing people papers and occasionally tailing people like a super spy.

At least in the U.S., the prevailing rule for serving process is anyone who is not a party to the suit can do it. While the phrase "neutral third party" is often used, even someone's asshole buddy can serve it if they don't have any direct interest in the case. Your jurisdiction may vary.

You are generally expected not to get aggressive, feisty or otherwise combative with process dodgers. For one thing, you're not paid well enough for that, and for another, it's not a good look for a litigant to hire a process server who gets violent with the opposing party just to get papers in their hand.

In any reasonably sized city there are numerous process serving entities. A lot don't do it as their main gig, it's just one thing they offer. Like if you have to serve 20 copies of a TRO app to 20 defendants, the big guys are who you call and they're basically just couriers. Those are no-nonsense guys.

And there are always a couple small businesses with a couple guys who have a reputation for being total assholes and those are who you call if you want to ruin someone's day in addition to serving them.

This looks like some fucked-up, beyond the pale operation like that where you're not only risking not getting proper service accomplished, but getting sued by whoever has to deal with this raging faggot who will probably do actually illegal things (instead of merely obnoxious things).
