Ran the kenpenders<at>kenpenders<dot>com email address through holehe. Not much of note other than freelancer.com. I can't find anything there that is obviously him, though.

Ooop. There's a robot verison of eggman in there. And new animated art with a red version of Ken Pender's totally original character Green Knuckles. Will Penders sue? Only time will tell.

Seriously, a gift for his grandson and he can't even take the five minutes to sketch up his own Spider-Man picture?
Or at the frigging least take five seconds to find out who he's ripping off and give them a shout out?

Oh wow, he didn't just referenced the pose and angle, this is a straight up trace of that cover. I feel dumb for thinking Ken would take the time of day to gift his grandson an original drawing,. "Here ya go kiddo, I stole this just for you".

I love how this could be use against him in a court of law to demonstrate his tendency towards plagiarism and unwarranted appropriation of other people's work.

Please archive those tweets so he can't claim these are doctored screenshots.
 
Its hilarious because its not the first time he's been caught tracing. I love it when Ken argues with Twitter when it's full on obvious he traced, and he doesn't even deny it here.

His excuse: it was for a kid.

Ken "I didn't trace. I used a reference, all artists do. I don't trace.
People call him out for tracing and passing it off as his own.
Ken "It's not tracing, I just inked it in for practice. I didn't give credit because I didn't need to, it's a gift for my grandson. Also, I know the guy who did the original."

All this could have been avoided if he just credited the original artists if he's going to post these online for everyone to see.

He will just keeping the goal post until the post cant be moved anymore. Sooner or later someone is going to sue his fat ass.

You know, when I do things art related with my niece, I actually draw with her.
I'm just saying. You can print off coloring sheets of that exact pose, probably that exact line art. Couldn't find anything specifically on Google but I swear I've seen it in merchindise often. So somewhere there's a coloring book with that exact lineart, I'd bet anything.

So I wanted to be charitable and check to see how his art was at least closer to his time working on DC and marvel stuff. I think his forms are passable if a little stiff but It's listed as Sonic/Exiles crossover and Exiles is an IP of Ken's.
He legitimately just wanted to write his own shit and was resigned to shoehorning it into the comics. This is a pretty good demonstration of it here.
But for late 90s I still think his humans are passible, but lacking in any appeal. He has relasped. Drawing is not like riding a bike.
