What is the biggest lie society has taught you to believe?

Some I've listened to, tried to apply but got a new asshole ripped because I smelled bullshit:
No high school diploma? Not even a GED? You can go to (insert name) Community College and you can make big money in your passion for computers… you said you had a TRS-80 when you were 4, right? You need to have an education to make big money!
Yeah, I might have a so-called “special education certificate of attendance” but it's nothing. Not even to an employer.
I have layman's education of computers. So what? I like to joke with friends that I can “install Debian[1] in five minutes using debian-installer
[2] blindfolded and with one hand tied behind my back”, which is a half truth, but I know the order of steps and when they're supposed to be executed… boot CD/DVD, mash proper F-key (either F9, F2, F12, etc.) to get to the”Change Boot Device” or at least the BIOS/UEFI settings, wait for the words “ISOLINUX
v.r.s. blah blah” to appear, hit Enter (or type “linux” and enter), you get the idea. I have the steps memorized. Nothing more, nothing less.
But employers don't want that. They want to see a piece of paper to soothe them.
There's someone out there for you. Or,
there's plenty of fish in the sea.
How many times I have heard that rhetoric? I know there is someone for me. She (I am a transgender though but I have an attraction to the female gender) just isn't human in the usual perspective. I have two girlfriends, they just happen to be plastic.

There are many people who share this kind of thing. I learned about it through this site:
The Doll Forum • Index page I have been a member of that site since 2005.
Linux users are evil hackers and therefore are criminals.
Citation needed! Don't say you learned that shit from Hollywood, or, rms
[5] forbid,
NCIS!
Almost every site on the Internet runs Linux! Facebook. Google. Twitter. Hardly any site has an active Microsoft IIS server open on TCP port 80 or 443 on the Internet anymore!
Of course, they're referring to the “desktop Linux users.”
Their depiction of a BASH terminal is laughably deplorable in hacking.
It's usually just an output of some source code of the Linux kernel! Or HTML source. It's basically harmless.
(Some are depictions of the Python language
[6], and usually of a Minecraft mod. The latest US Army TV commercial has a laptop streaming, at 300 baud, lines of Python code… because I saw “import pygame”, which I clearly saw HARMLESS Python code being used to recruit people for cyber security, which isn't a bad idea, but Python source for a game? Who did the DoD hire for the lowest bidder to do that?)
And you
cannot have two people on one keyboard simultaneously! Whoever wrote that plot device for
NCIS was a dumbfuck.
Oh, yeah… you have an Android phone, you're running Linux! I have to clarify a bit: Android is neither a Linux distro (distribution) nor a fork of Linux, it does run on top of the Linux kernel (go to App Drawer ➡ Settings ➡ About Phone and the number that begins with a 3 is a Linux kernel version number), but while a Raspberry Pi and an Android both have some sort of ARM architecture CPU, the kernel in Raspbian is wholly different than the one in Android. One is the Debian source, which means it won't run on any Android, because the kernel for your phone is compiled for your particular brand, model, carrier and Android version and is maintained by Google itself. The Linux kernel for Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, is initially maintained by The Linux Foundation
[7] and then downstream by the distributions themselves.
So don't be too surprised if you have to Google an issue your phone is facing and you see on XDA
[8] about Linux this, Linux that about your Android. You're running Linux!
Families are your best source of support.
Yeah, right. I have to call bullshit on that one.
My mother was gullible. My dad wasn't. I have solid beliefs my mother only married my father just because she wanted to marry a Navy guy and travel the world. I have heard that it wasn't a great experience. I believe my mom killed my dad, just by exhausting him to death. He died in 2000, just five days after the calendar change (January 5, 2000). She came to my door, the next day, and she said that my dad died the day before. My mother's response to my reaction was to something she didn't expect. She actually expected me to go
“YES! Dad's dead! Fuck yeah!” No. I was hurt! I fell to my knees and cried, “Why? Why Dad? Why not take me from this shitty life instead?” She got disgusted, coldly said, “I have no idea why you're acting like this. You never loved your father! You wanted me and your father to divorce so you could live with me and your dad takes your brother and sister!” I saw her leave and I was appalled at her. I never said that! I even asked why she waited to tell me the next day, it was a death in the family, I shouldn't have to be the last one to know! She tried to blow it off by saying “We had things to do, sorry we didn't tell you earlier…” She left.
Regardless of her trying to conceal her dislike of my (normal) reaction, which she used MY income to support bad decisions on her end, and one time when I moved out on my own, had my own obligations to tend to, rent, power, water, food, Internet, weed, whatever, enough only for me, and if I wanted to treat my love dolls to a new wardrobe and whatever at Goodwill
[9], if I had my bills paid, I was on my own, I would be happy, right? I didn't need to support my mother. She didn't live with me…
Wrong.
Every two weeks, I'd get a call from her, always asking, “Alexa, I need to borrow some money from you. [$SOME_BILL] needs to be paid… can I borrow $200 so the [$UTILITY] don't get shut off?” Like how she KNEW I even HAD $200? I usually didn't. I always allocated a certain amount of money to priorities first, my dolls next. I never had $200 to give to her. She made promises to repay, I've fell for her schemes before, but when I asked for the money back, she'd be like, “Alexa, you owed me the money.” I couldn't argue with her even though I knew she would not part with her money…
I asked, “Mom, I don't know how to say this, but, you DON'T live with me, I am NOT responsible for your financial fuckups! What happened to YOUR money? And just HOW do you believe I have two hundred dollars?”
“Easy,” she retorted. “You get paid about this time, and you have at least $200.” I blew up.
I said something to the effect that she had my brother “socially engineer” me by listening into me call my bank to hear my balance when I visited her so I could get groceries. I “had” $200 left when I checked out. But I didn't after then.
Long story short, my brother tried to get the money out of my account through PayPal, which was declined. I got called again, and I said, “Mom. I am not able to support myself and you, my brother and sister, which you three don't live here! You need to learn how to watch your money!” She tried to ask if I had anything to sell, if I could get a payday loan, anything to help, she'll pay me back…
I told her I can't anymore… silent treatment until 2010, when I learned she disowned me because of her mistakes.
I can go on and on… but I am going to cut it short here. More on my website,
