The base game (1-50) was very pozz free but they have added lots of gay shit on later expansions. The current one is basically all girl bosses (look up a picture of the current writers if you want a good laugh).

Pretty sure FF14 has been brought up here, the English translation team has gotten trigger happy about making some things "non-binary". It merits more observation.

Also I never miss a chance to promote BG3 mods that make the game bearable.

Besides that, only been playing old PS1 and Arcade games, so nothing more to report

For those unfamiliar with the setting, the Eldar are manipulative and supremely arrogant ancient aliens who would rather sacrifice a million humans than one of their own and accidentally blood orgied their devil into reality.

Dark Eldar are even worse, an entire society revolving around enslaving and torturing others to the extreme to distract the aforementioned devil from their souls.

One bisexual option considers the player little more than a mindless beast and the other is depraved even when compared to her.
I do like how she is in denial about being my pet monkey though.

The hetero options are almost wholesomely sweet. One caged bird magic princess who dreams of fairytale courtly love. And the other is a heroic crusader, striving to reform a crooked system.

The game as a whole revolves around non-modern ethical standards. Take the Act 1 finale
You are faced with a dillema about a planet about to fall to the devil worshiper enemy. You are given a choice of saving civilians, looting a super reactor or blowing up the planet. Save a few hundred civilians and the remaining billions are dragged into hell, so blowing the planet up is the least bad option

Signalis (Rose Engine): Medium/Heavy: The only couples are lesbian ones, and the central plot of the game is fulfilling the final request as the PC's lesbian lover, and the game starts with a trigger warning. Despite all that, I don't know if it quite qualifies for Heavy, as it doesn't really beat you over the head with it or mention homophobia at all, your lover's final request is to kill her, every single character in the game is white, and the game portrays communism in a purely negative light. The fanbase is oozing with trannies though, so I'll let OP decide which category it falls under.

Also I don't see anything wrong with developers chosing what exists in their game universe and what doesn't. It doesn't matter how autistic and specific these things are. It's their game after all.

1-50 was the best stories by far. Your class had a separate story, and expansions just had one for all classes. I only bothered to do one sith run of the expansions, so I'm not sure how bad it was on the Republic side, as both factions had a man/woman boss option that happened in an umprompted event. If the Sith loose, they end up with a male ruler, if the Republic loose I think they loose their male ruler.
I do recall the antagonists being obnoxious girlbosses, save for that Magnus dude or whoever.

The latest mandalorian shit has been a snore fest so they may have unleashed unlimited diverse girlbosses since that. I don't think I even bothered to do it, or if I did it was forgettable.

If you do the 1-50 stories, you can do the expansions until you go back to your faction, and just call it quits. You won't loose much, and you are recommended to use a Sith or Jedi for the expansions or the story won't make a lick of sense even before that. You will need to subscribe once, but than you cancel it and you still get the expansions.

Doesn't surprise me, the current story is shit, and its also released in tiny bits over a long period of time, fuck that.

Rogue trader gets props for the hetero romances not being a slut and a simp.

Oh yeah, here's a couple of other things I failed to mention that make Freedom Planet 2 feel like a commentary on current-year politics.

This really sucks. FP is a fantastic, standout game that I absolutely love and was really looking forward to 2. There's no way I'm buying it now. I don't support prog devs no matter how good their game.

I was there from the start of the shit storm and If I was a good Kiwi I would have archived shit and made a thread in Games about it probably, I really regret that I didn't, but here's what went down from what I saw on twitter.

Twitter User CSAlfredo makes This meme video about Signalis

This tweet takes off somewhat (gets around 1 to 2k likes in the first day) when it starts getting quoted tweeted by Signalis Fans*, and they came out with some of the most schizophrenic takes ever, basically making up entire arguments no one was making just to fight off "The Chuds" or "The Fascists" or "The Nazis" or whatever term they wanna use.

(The vast majority of the quote tweets by Signalis Fans are gone now, apologies for not saving many. The last two were screenshots stolen from twitter)

Now a side note is the the Signalis Fan Animator "Atelier" made the animation seen in the video, she (actual woman not tranny) made a comment under Alfredo's post asking him not to use her animations again. Later she made some comments on her twitter about how She was uncomfortable with her Animation being used in a edit alongside war footage but that she regretted how toxic to discussion had gotten. I bring her up because some people from both sides have blamed her for what happened, but Frankly she seems like the only sane member of the Fanbase. (Should be noted she later liked a tweet that indirectly called Alfredo a Right Wing Bigot)
EDIT: Atelier has deleted all her posts about the drama past 4 vague posts, but has been liking tweets directly calling Alfredo a Neo-Nazi.

(For clarity, this video is making reference/fun of Schizo edits, if you've been around on twitter long enough you have probably seen a few of these videos with a over use of Swastikas, Black Suns, and shit.)

The Situation spiraled from here as the Signalis Fanbase quickly realized they were messing with a vastly more autistic group who had zero issues with saying gamer words and making jokes at their expense. However it should be Noted that the Signalis Fanbase STARTED this fight, they started calling it a invasion when they were getting large scale pushback but they threw the first punch and then cried when they got a equal amount of shit back.
For Example:
(I am unable to find what Trashbodyparts aka "Gwinn" said, but it was in the same vain as the other posts I shared)
Gwinn started getting major pushback and went to the discord to vent.

(Proof Gwinn is the same Person as TrashBodyParts.)
(Yes the Signalis Discord has pronoun roles, that is a whole other rabbit hole.)
To understand the kind of person is making these, all you have to do is look at how many Messages this Gwinn has posted.

While Gwinn's account says He joined on Mar 10, 2024, he actually joined on 2/15/2023.


This makes the Number of posts somewhat more reasonable, but this still means that Gwinn made 46.520 posts in a span of 415 days, not including any posts in hidden channels or the downtime when he left he server, that is a rate of 112 posts a day at least.
(Note, Since taking these screenshots a few days ago, Gwinn's message count has grown to 47,000, managing 500 in only a few days.


Turning back to twitter, A few bigger accounts in the Signalis Fandom started to weigh in on the situation, not shocking that they were repeating the line that it was the Neo-Nazi Fascist Chuds trying to invade the Fandom.


(I have no fucking clue who Maarika is talking about, I assume they are discussing Krunch, I think? But Krunch is a Mexican Welder who works on warships not a Neo-Nazi.)

(Apnoiac is another big Signalis Animator, nowhere near the size or fame of Atelier but definitely one of the bigger voices in the Fanbase.) (Apnoiac also made a thread about how Signalis isn't for Chuds but for Lesbians and Transbians and Queers only! But deleted it I believe)
Now the last post points out that Yuri, a dev, retweeted a post commenting on the Drama. Well Yuri liked some other posts that make it clear where they stand on the Drama.

Which is a shame because as someone's who's actually played it it's one of my favorite survival horror games, which makes me hate the fact that troons only care about cooming to the robo dykes even more.

Here's a recent indie game that I recently picked up: Adaca, an indie FPS that's a decent Half-Life 2 knockoff. The story is pretty basic: your character got sentenced to a life working for a private military company and gets frozen for future service, only to get awakened on another planet by a mysterious doctor who gives you a Gravity Gun for an arm. You meet up with the local resistance and after fighting your way across the planet, you come across a transhuman cult that is apparently trying to take control of a device that can change matter at will. Gameplay-wise, it's Half-Life: sections where you fight enemies with an assortment of guns (or clobber them with crates), interspersed with sections where you solve puzzles and explore in a linear fashion.

Your character is explicitly referred to as "non-binary" at the very start of the game. This is despite the fact your character is a Gordon Freeman type that never speaks and is never shown on screen, so the only possible explanation is brownie points - doubly so because the developer is a non-binary furry themselves.

The Combine stand-ins are a force of extremely well-equipped police officers who constantly hound you throughout the game. Despite taking place in the future on some far-off planet and being based on a massive spaceship armed to the teeth, the police in this game look like modern police, complete with flashing red and blue lights. I know wokies think of police as oppressors and the enemy, so I'm going to assume this was the intention here.

The resistance is a Marxist workers' commune made of laid-off miners. The most prominent character is an Alyx Vance stand-in with dreads and none of Alyx's likability, she just likes to cuss people out and react with indignant bewilderment at everything.

Not-Alyx makes sure to add that the transhuman cult you fight is full of bigots. Wow, I would have thought the little fact they abduct civilians and snatch corpses so they can turn them into mindless killing machines was the worst part about them, but bigotry just can't stand! (Seriously, what are they even bigoted about? Not being a mindless murderous cyber-zombie?)

Aside from that, wokeness doesn't permeate the plot. It's more or less a retread of Half-Life 2 where instead of destroying the Citadel you are destroying a magical Macguffin to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

I rate it a Medium, largely because the wokeness is mostly window dressing. If you're itching for a solid Half-Life style shooter like I did and can stomach giving a few bucks to a furry, it offers a 12 hour campaign and a STALKER-style open world mode that could potentially be a huge time sink. Pretty remarkable feat for a game developed by a single person.

Rise of the Ronin I can't in good conscience rate because I haven't played it yet, however it's at least Mild due to "Body type" bullshit in chargen.

I found this /r/kotakuinaction reddit post and comment that goes into a little more detail.

I started playing the game last night and this is how it starts:

1. Intro scene of of some fighting, then the master of master Samurai’s comes out and slays 5 trained men at all once with HER skills (girl bossing it up like a modern Marvels movie)
2. Character creator has pre-sets for white women and black women Samurai
3. Character creator has body types 1 & 2, no male or female
4. Leader of the elite group of assassin’s is a gay woman (at least I took to be implied as gay)
5. Before the game starts, you’re greeted with a trigger warning about how 1800s Japan doesn’t reflect the diversity of the people who created the game nor their values.

This is how the game starts.

These are all issues because:

1. The game is supposed to be a period piece of 1800s Japanese Samurai’s (100% of which were Japanese men, not white or black women or men) — talk about immersion breaking
2. This is a Japanese studio that seems to be infected with Western garbage that has been ruining our beloved studios

What I’m hoping is that this a one-off because historically I’ve loved Team Ninja and haven’t gotten woke vibes out of them in the past.

As a side note, I posted this on the Rise of Ronin thread and was attacked as being a snow flake for pointing out that these hurt immersion, and then subsequently received a 3-day ban from their mods.

Very disappointing as I was looking forward to this game.

Yeah sorry. I don't usually disagree with people here but I will. First, team ninja has always had historical titles with character creators that can make any character they want. Played a white dude in Wo Long, Nioh 1 and Nioh 2. Does it make sense historically? Not really but it's not impossible, especially with How many white people are in Rise of the Ronin.

The leader of the group of assassin's is not a gay woman. She literally had a male lover and twin blade.

As for the trigger warning, well they got banned in Korea due to the historical nature of the game and are probably just covering their ass. Doesn't mean the game is super woke.

As for immersion breaking from white people in the game? There was a massive amount of white people operating in the late 1860s due to colonialism in Japan. Your lack of historical knowledge is really showing when you say it's immersion breaking for white people to be in the game.

Team Ninja is a historical fiction game studio. It has always been this way. It's impossible for you to claim that they were not woke before and suddenly have become now.

I figured as someone who says they were really looking forward to this title they would have the very basic level of knowledge about the Historical times represented in the game or be familiar with team ninja games but neither of those things seem true.
