I was honestly surprised there wasn't one already Simpsons has a griefing thread, American Dad an appreciation thread I think there's an old SpongeBob thread back a few pages but it kept getting lost in the news threads on the show and I think a family guy thread or two.

I’m not sure how, but this thread has managed to make me realize that these three pop culture phenomenons are more relevant to my life than I never began to realize.

It might sound autistic, but I honestly think Mike Judge and those two shows saved my life in a way.
I personally wouldn’t be the guy I am today if it weren’t for those shows, and it’s even more hilarious when my father used to watch the latter when I was growing up as a kid.

I think the mark of a good show is where it's nearly impossible to pick out a favorite character. Every main character in KOTH is hilarious, flawed, but still likable. It would be impossible for me to pick a favorite.

King of the Hill was what Simpsons wished it was if Homer was more of a focused working man and less driven on emotion and spurs of the moment. There were times when KotH's episodes ended on bittersweet notes that seemed unfair but understandable (the constant shit Strickland got away with and of course the John Redcorn+Nancy= Joseph thing). It's what modern adult cartoons try to achieve but go too fucking far they somehow go right back to being unrealistic.
