King of the Hill’ voice actor Jonathan Joss killed in Texas shooting after argument with neighbor​

Actor Jonathan Joss — best known for his voice work on the iconic animated TV comedy “King of Hill” was shot dead by a neighbor in Texas, according to a report.

Joss, who voiced “John Redcorn” on the long-running cartoon, got into a argument with the neighbor at his home in San Antonio Sunday night when the neighbor pulled out a gun and shot him several times, according to police.

The unnamed gunman then fled the scene in a vehicle but was arrested by police just a block from the residence.

That said i'm not sure I believe the husbands statement. Something isn't really adding up there. They went to the old house to pick up mail and the neighbor just happened to have their dogs skull and harness ready and sitting in plain view for them to see when they got there? and happened to be waiting nearby with a gun for them to get upset about it? How did he know when they'd be showing up or if they would be? and he did all this just to shoot them? If so why didn't he shoot both of them? Theres some part of that story that isn't being told or something else was going on. Doesn't make sense to shoot a neighbor who doesn't even live there anymore who is only there for a few minutes to get some mail

Two weeks or two months? Likely two weeks, but the way he decomposed was just so bad for that timeframe, probably because he was in the bathtub and the water was still running (drain was open so there wasn't a way for the tub to flood).

Murphy married a creepy fat jew, got hooked on pills, and died from those plus chronic infections in a hoarder house full of moldy clothes and piles of unopened shopping. It was kind of sad TBH.

Damn. I read the Wikipedia stuff about his death and it mentioned the mold and stuff. Didn't say much about his wife

A straight couple was harassed by homophobes to the point of their house being burned down and one of them being murdered in cold blood? Something doesn't add up here. While I'd like to think Joss was an innocent victim, the "husband" being a pooner means I trust effectively nothing she says about what happened yesterday.

Okay bullshit. His house burned down because he left the grill on while out it wasn’t fucking homophobia or whatever.

Joss said he and his partner had lit a barbecue grill inside the house for warmth and to "make some Abuelita" Mexican hot chocolate earlier Thursday, but were sure they extinguished it before leaving at noon to get lunch and pick up supplies to clean the home.
Fire crews reportedly responded to the home in the 200 block of Dorsey Drive around 1 p.m. Thursday. By the time Joss and his partner returned just before 2 p.m., the uninsured residence was a smoldering loss.
"I told them it was my fault," Joss said. "Very easily it could have started because of my stupidity."

Yeah basically she just kept popping pills instead of getting medical attention for pneumonia and anemia and just… drifted away, I guess.

If you look at her photos over time you can even see her go from slim, healthy and energetic to frail and sickly. She didn’t need mounds of rotting clothes. She needed to get the fuck away from Hollywood and live in sunshine and fresh air with good food.

I personally think her husband got her onto the pills as a method of control, because he knew she was way out of his league.

Genuinely wish he can rest in peace.

KoTH is one of my comfort food versions of tv/audio. I can't count the amount of times I've finally fallen asleep with King of The Hill playing at a tiny volume on my bedroom tv, especially back in the day when I was younger.

I heard just recently before this happened that his house burned down last winter and his dogs perished in the fire. I can't even imagine.

If there is a better place, I hope he's there now.
