Casper doesn't even have that kind of slum, it's not Chicongo. It's a small-to-mid-sized city in the most sparsely populated state in the continental U.S., over 90% of that population being white. There are plenty of ramshackle trailer parks and the like in the 10+ miles outside city limits and in the city, you have places like where Cobes can live on SSI money and gibs from weens.

Also the place looks like a shithole on video, but I assume at least some of that is just from Cobes living there in his usual squalor. That's the sort of shit that gets you swiftly kicked out of somewhere the first time they see it if it's normal.

Wyoming is also incredibly poor. In Casper, CNA's average <$20. Office Managers just a touch over that. It's a cheaply made place to house as efficiently as possible, but it's not what I'd call anything near a slum. I stayed at a Super 8 in Cheyenne a couple years ago in a road trip, and it was almost an exact mirror of his hallway down to the lighting.

Despite Cobes being a filthmonger, you don't see roaches crawling over everything, the floors outside are relatively clean, and there's no graffiti or other signs of lacking maintenance in the hallways. I've never seen a low income housing place that wasn't abused with broken lights, ramshackle utilities, et al.

I somewhat wonder if there's some special conditions to keep Josh there. I assume there were at the last place- heck, they were even willing to allow him to stay there while making the above apartment unusable.

I haven’t seen anything to suggest he doesn’t care about Josh. Everybody can theorise about how they’d manage Cobes but his dad is actually living it. You're right about everything, it's unjustifiable that knowing from almost youth that Josh had problems that he didn't take time to learn good communication and applicable management skills - Maybe he should've spent time with actual professionals instead of playing fairy godmother to other people's retarded kids ( if he even did that and it wasn't just an over exaggerated meme to garner sympathy), but it's no secret to anyone, even to those who only know surface-level cobra, that if Clint at this point puts his foot down and tells him to clean up his act, Josh will blow it all on DD&D and go homeless- And if not for the fact that he would die, I would love to see him livestream himself managing his expenses.
