There's something strangely beautiful about how much home dad supports cobes. Even in the last one he never gets angry at Josh and they just start discussing that he needs more juan wood and spray paint.

This is just me, but I don’t like all the hate Clint gets. He still trying to do things to help cobra and is trying his best. I always see people saying “HE SHOULD SEND HIM TO REHAB!” He can’t. Cobra is an adult and can’t send him to get treatment for his alcoholism. “HE SHOULD MAKE HIM GET A JOB!”. Cobra is an adult. He can’t force him to get a job. I swear people jump on Clint for anything cobra does wrong. If cobra sends dick picks to a girl, then it’s Clint fault for some reason. I think people need to give him a break. It isn’t easy having a boglin as a son.

Unlike what happened with Chris Chan, Clint seemed to try to do everything right by Cobes when he was a minor. He put him in special ed, got him a therapist and got him on medication, made him keep up on hygiene, made him go to Job Corps, etc. But it never stuck, Cobes is honestly at a maximum mental age of 9 or 10 years old and nothing Clint could do would make him less dumb and less defiant. Yeah sure Clint could go through the legal steps to try to get Cobes committed to a group home, that's literally the only thing he could do to help him now as an adult, but I can see why he wouldn't want to. It will come down to that though, either a group home or rehab or jail. Cobes is too dumb to avoid them and it's a miracle he's still living on his own today.

I don't think he's bad enough for insurance to cover a rehab stint either. The group home is likely, but that's only once Clint becomes incapable of taking care of Joshes essentials from a distance.

We've likely got decades of him just drinking and smoking in his filthy hovel to look forward too.

He’s trying to find the difficult balance of what is helpful for cobra and what would just make him absolutely miserable. Sure putting him in a group home might be the “best” thing for him but it would also guarantee that his son will hate him for the rest of his life and ensure that cobra is absolutely miserable. If I recall cobra said before if he was ever put in a group home he’d kill himself. It would also make life absolute hell for the people around him or working with him in said group home. He probably sees cobra as his responsibility and doesn’t want to make cobras life, his own life, or some bystanders life any miserable than they have to be and after 31 years of dealing with cobra he realizes this is the path of least resistance. He probably holds out hope that cobra will come to his senses and ask for help on his own but until he ever does there’s not a whole lot he can do. You can’t help somebody who won’t accept it.

I want to say he would never do it, but you never know with mentally ill people. Maybe after Ozzy dies he'll get a wild hair to join his idol in hell so he can spread his demon wings and fly.

Drunk to the degree of the “I’ll smoke you till your dead” video and in an especially mentally ill mindset? For sure. He has intense intrusive thoughts. Like when he’s particularly drunk and depressed and there’s no cope and only seethe he always slurs to himself unprompted “fuck suicide” he obviously is thinking of killing himself. All it would take is that one final inhibition to fall away and he’d make his head bloom like a flower in spring.

Suicide is usually a very spontaneous act and it’s been proven that a lot of the time when people were prevented from doing it they don’t go back and retry. Once that moment passes they don’t want to do it. Somebody who goes to a bridge and jump off and can’t get over the suicide barrier will usually go home and not reattempt another form of suicide. You usually aren’t so lucky when you have a gun. Once you make that spontaneous decision there isn’t a lot in between you and skygod

I can see him getting a possession charge, drunk in public or getting drunk and trying to grope a woman, maybe even liquor theft if the paypiggy money dries up. I don't think he's going to do hard time, but I can see him doing 30 days here and there like a lot of other alcoholic vagrants.

There may also be issues with getting him on a plane. Imagine bathing in the miasma of a gothic bad boy for 10 hours in coach. I can't imagine he would be allowed to stay on the plane long enough to take off.
