Clint disregarding the duster / other critical issues just to fixate on bullying is telling. When Josh dies its going to be 100% because of internet bullying. I wouldn't be surprised if he handles Josh's death in a self-serving, opportunistic way like writing a book or doing a gay art show. I've always suspected he doesn't really care about Josh's actual issues (mental health, his teeth, addictions, etc) and is just doing what he can to make it look like he is trying on paper. Everything he's done to address those issues has been half assed with no follow through or resolution. When he made Josh go to the dentist all they did was give him a cleaning, no follow up. Also, Josh stopped caring for his surgically repaired eye basically as soon as he got back to his apartment. He was streaming with a bloody eye ball. We will see how therapy goes, but clearly Clint doesn't care that Josh basically gave his therapist a fucking shoutout seconds before huffing duster on stream.

I've gone back and forth on disliking clint and sticking up for him in this thread, but yeah this latest shit just cements what I think of him pretty firm. Shit tier dad.

Clint absolutely is in full ego protection mode. Remember the reddit posts he made back in '17? He went on for paragraphs about how great and amazing and accomplished his other kids were, so he's totally definitely not a failed parent who fucked up and enabled his son's retardation. He loves to go "Well Josh is a grown man, I can't control his life!" and then pays for the fucking apartment and invites the drunk little boggy fuckup to family holidays, and runs interference against people trying to get Josh legit help.

I don't know if Clint's a full-blown narc or not, but he definitely loves to make excuses and spin any situation to downplay the damage his enabling causes.

Also does his taxes, regularly replaces his broken computers and phones, buys him groceries and delivers them to the house, drives him everywhere, list could really go on and on.

There's a strange cognitive dissonance there, yeah. I understand helping your kid once in a while but at this point, you've got your hand up his ass. If he's a grown man, remove it. If he's not, don't say "I can't intervene" because you clearly can and have successfully in the past.

Pick one. You best pick quickly, your son is burning holes in his brain with Dust Off and death is a likely outcome. Probably best to know that you genuinely tried your hardest when you're lowering him into the ground instead of the delusion that you "did the best you could every day" and he died due to no fault on your part, star parent that you are.
