I've wondered about this for a while.

Meth mouth, is essentially actaully caused more from the fact that people get terrible cotton mouth (and of course, totally neglect their hygiene). The lack of saliva flushing out the mouth/lack of good bacteria cause acid build up which is what actaully causes the enamel decay.

Back at my office, whenever we saw people with meth mouth, a typical feature was, the worst of the damage eould always be the upper teeth. This is because that is usually the "driest" area of the mouth (salivary glands are closer towards the bottom, and saliva naturally settles towards the bottom as well, so the teeth below tend to last just alittl

I'm not necessarily saying cobes uses meth, but its interesting that his dental health is following the same pattern. Would duster cause dry mouth? I don't think its the kratom. I use it for back pain and I slobber like a retard. Is there something else cobes uses that would cause the dry mouth?
I always really appreciate these informative posts and it's endlessly fascinating to speculate on boglim physiology. Smoking definitely causes dry mouth, as well as any sort of diuretic (see alcohol). Anything that affects fluid balance may cause it (see sodium intake and poor hydration). Poorly controlled diabetes can result in excessive urination. As you point out, most stimulants will contribute as well. We then get into more speculative territory with neuropsychiatric medications which also cause dry mouth: amphetamine-derived adhd medicines, SSRIs and many antipsychotics. With the inhalants its very difficult to say, the research is sparse and no one really knows how they work.

Canned Air is not air. It would be ridiculously unsafe to pressurize any useful amount of air into a can to dust your keyboard. It's actaully filled with a liquid refrigerant. They are very useful compounds (usually halocarbons, or hydrocarbons with halogen atoms tacked on) with a boiling point very close to room temperature. This means you can use them in thermodynamic cycles fairly easily by dumping heat into them as a liquid and using them to suck heat out of things as they re-condense (i.e. a refridgerator). This boiling point property is also the principle behind canned air. As you empty the air can, more of the refrigerant vaporizes and the liquid inside vaporizes and expands thousands of times the replenish and repressurize the space above the liquid (thats how you get all that air in one can). So the can itself is expelling a fairly pure stream of gaseous refrigerant. On a completely unrelated note, these halocarbons are actually the first class of general anesthetics discovered. Things like chloroform, isoflurane, difluoroethane etc. These compounds DO directly act on the central nervous system and, contrary to popular belief, their effects are not due to oxygen displacement. Indeed, more sophisticated derivatives are used to this day in human and veterinary medicine. And most fascinating of all, no one can figure out how they work, but its definitely distinct from suffocation. Also they can suffocate you.

its over dragonbros :(

i was actually thinking earlier "well, all he has do is keep it warm, feed it, and clean the cage like twice a month. it probably won't die, at least not in a big dramatic fashion"

my expectations for cobes are so low, and he still managed to disappoint. i feel like i just experienced a tiny fraction of clint's existence.

"fellow casperites, meth addicts broke into my apartment and stole my pet reptile to sell it for meth money. Send help."

I wonder what homeboy Ian will think of this
I mean the dude gave the lizard to Cobes instead of anyone else in the apartment block (before he went to jail IIRC), I’ve always thought he should take some of the blame for giving the lizard away to a filthy retarded person who hangs around drug addicts, but then again for all we know all the other residents could be just as tarded or worse and Cobra was just the only one who actually liked lizards at all. I always wonder what was going through Ian’s head when he gave Puff to Josh of all people.

Either:
A. Puff escaped his cage, died, and is now in the process of bog encrusted mummification, or is currently dying in a filthy nook of Josh's room.
B. Josh has accidentally killed Puff and is covering it up (a la Josh destroying two sex dolls and lying about it on two different occasions out of shame).
C. Puff has escaped and on some wacky wanderlust journey

For my own sanity, I am going with C.

Since the minute he started making mead people have been speculating that he would completely forget about Puffers leaving him to starve to death and I think that is likely what happened, he cannot focus on more than one thing at a time as we all should know by now plus the duster on top of everything else. RIP Puffers, fuck Ian.

I stopped following Cobes after he got the beardie, I can’t stand reptile abuse. He should have leashed Puff while taking it out (yes this is a thing) They are FAST when they want to be, and can squeeze into tight spaces. He should be looking anywhere there’s warmth, they like to go behind TVs and sit on power supplies, anywhere they can leech heat they will do it. Probably dead which makes me really sad, I’ve kept bearded dragons for over a decade, my favorite animal. RIP
