I think he ran off during one of Josh's smoke breaks where he took him outside. Homeboy Ian had a habit of caring Puff on his shoulder so I think he was doing that and Puff ran off.

This is true. Dark baking chocolate is much more toxic to dogs than the regular milk/dark chocolate they typically come across. My dad has a Labrador that ate an entire bag of chocolate candy. The vet said to give her a hydrogen peroxide mix to induce vomiting. She didn't get sick from the candy or the peroxide. The dumb shit just took a nap and was fine.

Yeah I keep forgetting that American "chocolate" contains almost no actual chocolate and is mostly just milk solids and sugar. You could feed an entire Walmart candy aisle to a dog and it would be more likely to die from the saturated fat clogging its arteries than the theobromine.

Feed a bar of European chocolate to a dog and it would keel over stone dead. Probably would have the same effect on Americans, come to think of it.

I have no clue where he got that 11 day number but a bearded dragon can only be off heat for about 24hrs in an area that is 65 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
The only thing Josh will find is a frozen lizardcicle which he will promptly put on a wand, if he finds Puff's body at all.

A good friend of mine is a vet. We talked about this before and she said in most cases, what happens is the owner of the dog has a large bag of baking grade cocao chocolate chips (like the 1-3lb bags) in their pantry, either on the floor, or somewhere on a shelf at the level a dog could reach. They either forget to shut the door or dont shut it all the way after putting away groceries and the dog gets to it.

At those quantities, you just have to pray you can get the dog to vomit it all up in time
