Do we know if Josh actually received any therapy or guidance counselling from appropriate people when he was a kid/in school?
I think aside from dropping the ball on his education as a kid, Job Corps was the last real chance at helping him managing his difficulties.

Parking him in a group home wouldn't be the solution, he'd be even more volatile than he is on his own and I can't think of any alternative that isn't a lose-lose situation.
I know there are many types of group homes in my country, some are for developmental disorders like downies or autism spectrum people who are on Josh' level of functioning and some group homes are for mental health disorders. I also know some group homes house double diagnoses people, people with a form of substance abuse + a mental health diagnosis.
Depending on the other people in the group home, Josh could flourish or he could be a huge issue due to tantrums, substance abuse and his ODD in general.

The best possible solution for Josh now would be a third-party who have no emotional or familial ties to him coming in X times a week to help him keep his apartment clean, preferably a man who is as far removed from Clint in both personality and his way of interacting with Josh. A Mr. Green type of person but ideally a few years older, as a positive male role model that Josh could mirror his behaviour on. Though sadly I know this is an impossible fantasy.

Except for Clint himself, that is. Josh has claimed to have threatened suicide the first time he brought up the possibility of a group home, and as evidenced by the Christmas arrest, it seems to be his go-to response whenever he feels cornered and needs to push back against Clint. For as dull as Josh is, he still has a sense of how to play to the camera, and we really don't know the full extent of his anger issues off camera (the brief half second clip of him going into rage mode after ending a livestream right before the feed cuts comes to mind as a brief, and recent-ish glimpse behind the curtain). The absolute exhaustion of having to wrangle someone like Josh for over 3 decades is still probably preferable than losing a child/sibling to suicide, so I can understand why his family never calls his bluff and instead gives him the kid-gloves treatment. I'm not saying that they have handled him correctly, but when viewing the situation from Clint's, "I've literally let him do whatever he wants for the past 14 years, and he still resents me and threatens to later himself everytime I tell him no" perspective, I get it. Whether Josh has the capacity to intentionally kill himself, or even the dexterity to Cobain himself with his side by side is one thing, but if you ever gave him a reason to sit and actually consider suicide (in his case, group home) as a real option, it wouldn't take long for him to find a reason.

I downloaded about 2700 videos from Cobra's channel and used the YouTube automatic subtitling text to make this semantic graph.
Each point in the graph has an x/y coordinate, but the x/y values of each point are meaningless on their own. In relation to one another though, they form clusters where similarly placed dots will have similar semantic content. For example, the grouping of gray dots down at the bottom left, around (-6,-3) are mostly his videos where he just tells a joke and the video is over in like 3 seconds. The red cluster is primarily food-related across the entire graph, with his different tangents that he goes on splitting the food videos across the entirety of the graph. The blue cluster is where he combines jokes and food videos.
This process is done by converting the text from the video subtitles into 384-value text embeddings, then reducing the dimensionality of those embeddings to 2D and treating each reduced text embedding as a coordinate.
I've also attached another file where I did the same thing, but reduced it to 1D and sorted the videos using the embedding value. If you take a look at that list, you can find a video you like, and you'll probably like the neighboring videos in the list as well. The opposite applies too, if you think one of his videos sucks, you'll probably think its neighbors suck too.
I've included the code for this as well if you want to render your own copy or tinker with the settings. I'm gonna mess with clustering some more and see if I can get DBSCAN to make better colored clusters so the graph is easier to interpret. I've also included a bit at the end where you can treat the embeddings as a vector search DB. Just enter a search and it'll find the most semantically similar content, even if your search query isn't explicitly mentioned. For example:

Edit: I rerendered the graph below. This time I applied some manual categorization based on keywords in the video titles. Then I trained a small neural network to predict the category that each video belongs to. It got 95% on the training set and 75.6% on the testing set. For coloration in the new graph, I set a threshold of 80% probability on the class predictions from the neural network. If it's colored, it means the neural network was >=80% sure that the category it chose is correct, and gray points are where it was uncertain.

The main issue with rehab/group homes/mental hospitals is Josh isn't low functioning enough mentally to be involuntarily put into one. He would have to be approached by Clint and voluntarily choose to go which will never happen. I genuinely believe Josh would rather die alone in his apartment from alcohol poisoning or a tooth infection then ever go to a group home at this point. He is so far into his drinking addiction and delusions of rock stardom he's content with his life.
