I feel like he probably for once actually made some alcohol, but then pouring in as much tap water as he did, and not adding in any kind of stabilizers of nutrients to make sure it doesn't continue to ferment, this like every other jar, is destined for failure.

I don't see how it's destined for failure, considering he has no idea what he's doing, I would say this might be his most successful batch yet. He adds 3x more sugar than his batch can handle, topping it up with water and allowing fermentation to continue will work in his favor because he spills so much.
