Kiwi Dominions 6 Community - TW:WH3 but for actual autists

Okay crack's out, we're good to go.

He was beating back Yomi's fat stacks last I saw but I'm not sure how the war at the home front looks like.
Well, maybe I spoke too soon... though I feel like if he didn't stall he could have retreated to the fort instead of getting overrun by the next wave...

Damn, double stall from the big guys.

Also I would appreciate a 12~ hour extension so the .13 crack can come out, (took a day last time)
Extended

Mekone said he is dropping out due to lifeshit popping up. We're a bit effy if this is true or not since our boy Yomi kinda kicked his ass, but it's safe to force AI on him at this point.
Mekone has been AI'd

After a glance at what all he had I'm more inclined to think he dropped do to irl shit. He really wasn't doing *that* bad and he killed me.

Mekone took Yomi's cap, and I informed him I was intent on sending in a couple mega stacks to help. I was also feeding gems to Sauro. From what I can tell, all my allies are dropping do to life shit, and I'm starting to lose interest in this game because of that.

Yomi and Mictlan are by and away leading this game, and if it's me trying to solo both of them, which this has become, then I frankly have no chance.

Yeah I'm not too confident I will be able to hold. Half of it is they just have sheer numbers over me, so I am losing via attrition. The other half is me fumbling with Hydras. But I'm learning at least. :shit-eating:

Generally speeking if you're playing MA Pythium Hydras are not your go to and you'd want to be using mages. You can get turbo communions going with em.

Ye. MA Pythium generally goes for communions, angels and roman steel, in that order.

Well....

If the cunning plan here was to have me and Yomi bump while taking your land, then that might just work out.

just making an observation here, but yomi, mictlan, and jotunheim have gotten FAT

So just as a teachable moment, look at something's size. Bigger units are easier to surround and units get hit very easily when surrounded. Hydra at full health is harder to surround (takes 4 more units than normal) but loses that trait as it loses heads (it changes form and loses heads as it's health drops). So what becomes even more important on a large unit is protection/physical resistances, it needs to be able to take very low damage. Hydra has 8 which is pretty bad. You can do magical shenanigans to get around it but it's still a pretty fragile and expensive unit to frontline. In many cases 200g of cheap units are going to be a better proposition then a hydra. I'd probably only use them extensively against/with poison spam and defensive spamming earth/nature mages to help them not die.

Also on the topic, trample salvages a lot of large monsters but beware of the dangers of low morale, no one likes team killing elephants.

He's fighting dudes whose second form has 25 poison res that come 5 to a square, Hydras aren't going to do shit, Mekone had the right idea with mass evocations and beat a couple fat stacks before getting overrun by sheer numbers.

Keep in mind this is the second time I've fought Yomi, and that was a few years ago. I don't think they even did this strat while fighting. But you know, at least I learned something.
He beat another fairly big army btw. Even his Oni chaff is kicking my ass.

The Yomi chaff really is no joke. I dont recall them being this cracked even on Dom 5.

They really weren't this good in 5. Don't forget to use priest spam on em and banish spells. It helps. Magic and ranged is also pretty nice for fucking them up given they have so little armor and no helmets.

Marverni's grand army got into my turf and could have been really annoying if it went in the right direction, kinda like back when he was fighting Caelum (rip in importance).

Not really. He's AI now and I'm not sure if the AI takes over on the turn when you press the AI button or afterwards but my big armies went to SW and NW, NE and W had some Big Dudes and N only had the PD. He went SW and....

Guess he didn't pay attention to what I posted about my war with agartha and we got a repeat of a big stack being sniped with Disease Demons until there was barely anything left.
#1 MLG Noscope was the lone elder druid trailing behind the army with all the gems he needed. See below for what he started with.
Edit for the sake of honesty: For some reason 7 mages ended up going NE, not sure why.

The stargazers weren't even assassinated, they all got fried when I teleported a vamp in, so now that you're out of the game I think I can say you should go look up a communion tutorial because you just kept killing those guys every time I saw you use em.

And the big question is, did he screenshot the graphs?

Ozellotis are such horseshit it's unreal. They're stupid good. Had a game against Xibalba who won with armies of these guys alone. Insanely good use of Eagle Warriors btw. Surprised how well they outperformed your cats from hell.

RIP Marverni. Wished you stuck a little longer but I assume you didn't have much left afterwards. I'm sticking until I know for sure I'm screwed, which I won't lie, is getting close.

Cats only took so many casualties because I put a bunch on attack flyers immediately to suicide divebomb his manticores before they threaten my mageclump (still got a turkey and commander, rip). Eaglemen just got the numbes advantage, and they still barely outkilled the cats. Once my mages pulled the Lategame switch the rest of the army barely took casualties.

Well an M did get T-D'd.

If you play against Xibalba, Mictalan, Caleum, etc. you should really see the flying units attacking a mile away to be honest. Literally have a huddled mass of men on mages set to hold and attack fliers. or Hell do that AND have a mass of infantry kitted to fight them in the back. They only have so many methods of targetting, and mages and commanders aren't explicitly one of em.
