Could you please make squirrel in-hands sprites while you're at it? It would be nice if you could do wholesome 100 RP with humans and be someone's pet squigga (i tried this last time, chef tried to befriend us by feeding us but other squigs ended up chimping out and ganging up on the poor sod).
I think something like a squirrel sitting on a shoulder or clinging to an arm akin to monkeys would be really sweet.

Feedback: Adding kudzu to a hydroponics tray turns the entire thing into 'plant' which can then not be watered, and only splashed with a bucket which transfers no reagents. You also can't harvest the kudzu either, it overlays the 'plant' object over the hydroponics tray.

We forgot to set Radiation Collectors up to actually harvest power but you can test for yourself locally whether they work or not.

I love the codebases where the construction system lets you build a station for yourself.
The maps are put together in such a way and the construction is so capable that there is nothing on the station you can't rebuild.

But why rebuild anything when you can simply repair everything instantly by calling the shuttle and waiting 15 minutes?
(persistent stations only when? you get a new station only when the crew earns enough to get shipped a new one, for insurance)

There are only 3 things that currently need to be addressed:

1. Unique sprites for some of Virology machinery/items (taking them from /vg/);
2. A way to get GNA data disks (simple to implement);
3. Classic diseases like GBS, Pierrot Throat, Wizarditis, etc - currently there's no way to get these and I'm not sure if Virology machinery can even interact with them, they'll probably need to be ported to virus2 system.

So yeah, Virology is a fully functional game mechanic that's currently only unused because >no Virologists and >no random outbreak events. Keep Virology on Uterus plox.

Is it not gay and retarded like basically every virology system devised to "improve" on the original hard-coded viruses like GBS, retrovirus and co.? Because only 1 in 10 being able to infect humans sounds pretty gay and retarded to me. More importantly, can any of them infect only niggers? Can I devise the plague that commits TND for me?

It isn't because it creates random viruses instead and allows for custom viruses using GNA splicing.

Not how that works. Virus dishes can only spread Airborne viruses upon breaking, that's what's happening here.
Obviously in practice you won't be randomly throwing dishes around like a nigger, you'll put a virus dish and a beaker full of blood into the Pathogenic Incubator then infect the blood with your virus like a professional.

Yes lol, since Blacks are their own separate species you can mutate a virus by irradiating it using the same incubator and pray to RNGesus that it mutates the Species trait.

Viruses can infect multiple species at once. You could have viruses that only infect Humans, only infect Blacks, or the ones that infect both Humans and Blacks at once. If you have a strain that can only infect Blacks then Humans will be unaffected and vice versa, but if a strain has both Humans and Blacks as compatible species then you'll have to mutate it first if you don't want Blacks/Humans get infected.
I think it depends on the RNG which species can a virus infect by default, although I'm not sure. There's an old Wiki guide that's pretty comprehensive but could surely be improved with more info and pictures.

I have over the years drawn up like 5 different design documents regarding virology and the virussy. If I manage to crunch out a working one without being turned tranny by DM coding, what's the deal with PRs for our server?

Yeah that one definitely needs work, I've been holding off tweaking it until viro is in a state to be more present in the game tbh. I'll try find some time to get onto that before this weekends rounds, there's a couple of things I've got in my list to add to it
