Speaking objectively, rule lawyering silicon/space laws tends to result in massive headaches for everyone involved if a problem inevitably occurs while trying to adhere to one's interpretation of said laws. Also, that only applies for the LRP server ruleset. That clause is missing from the MRP ruleset, I'm assuming precisely because the pain in the ass involved in arguing semantics makes for good RP.

There's also an arrivals protection rule in place for most servers since it's way too easy for powergamers to ruin the round for new arrivals by nabbing them when they spawn in or generally destroying spawn. Probably also why the arrivals shuttle has been updated in most code bases to leave the station once all occupants have left the shuttle.

Most servers also disallow "racial and homophobic" slurs as this point, even ones that never took a hard stance on it previously, for simple "Cover Your Ass" purposes when it comes to attracting and keeping new players.

i tried getting it compiled, it busted one of the laptops, i am going to use next years tax refund to buy a dedicated server PC, I have not given up on this project, just have had hiccups. my only hope is to get the ball running and would be proud to front the cost if i could be convinced of some setting it up sooner then my proposed next year around april

You're compiling it in Dream Maker, right? I'm of the understanding that it can take a while, unless that laptop is just straight up getting some sort of fatal error trying to compile the code.

First round of KFStation i spent, immediatly upon spawning as an assistant, hunting down and disarming the HoS and then attempting to instill good ol american values of gun ownership to the masses
Sadly there were no takers but i did atleast get to shoot some techno-niggers (whom i can only assume had the HoS in their current posse)

We have an actual KF server now? And it's populated?

Might have to check it out sooner or later.

Really the only downsides to /tg/ are that the admins are occasionally on some bullshit for a brief period of time and the coders are completely fucking retarded in that they are possessed of this need to fix things that aren't exactly broken, thereby making things more unfun for both the people who know what they're doing and the people who want to learn how to do a new thing but have to deal with a bunch of obsolete knowledge on how to do the new thing. Because a small handful of people know how to powergame with one thing that isn't necessarily an issue every single problem, it's a massive problem that needs to be corrected in such way that the small minority of powergamers can't easily powergame with that method anymore.
