ERCOT is terrible. The board doesn't even contain a Texan (though it does a Californian).

What does Kurt think California's relationship with PG&E is? People lost power for several days for a period of over a month just over a year ago there.

https://www.theverge.com/2019/10/28...ar-panels-batteries-california-blackouts-fire - maybe Elon will do something similar.

Tesla is offering a discount on solar panels and batteries to people who are affected by wildfire power outages, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted today. More than 2 million people across California have been affected by power outages since October 25th as utility companies try to prevent their power lines from sparking new blazes. A fire just north of San Francisco has already consumed more than 66,000 acres and is only 5 percent under control.

Musk offered $1,000 off to customers who are affected by the outages. His generosity is likely to benefit more affluent Californians’ who are coping with the power loss, given the price of a home installation. On its website, Tesla lists the average price of a Solar Roof as $33,950. Its home battery system, the Powerwall, costs roughly $14,100 for a 2,200-square-foot home. The company unveiled Solar Glass Roof tiles just three days ago.

Preemptive power outages are becoming the new normal in California as the state faces increasingly devastating wildfire seasons and utility companies are blamed for being the culprits behind disasters like the 2018 Camp Fire that nearly leveled the entire town of Paradise. The current outages are the second massive blackout affecting Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers this month. Though the outages are meant to avoid catastrophe, they can cause a crisis for those who rely on powered medical devices.

There was no short cuts taken Kurt. Texas power grid is made for a place that get's a ton of heat. It's not made for heavy snow fall. You've claimed to be a journalist for three decades, why can't you do research? Only Telsa's Gigafactory is moving close to Austin. His major project, SpaceX is moving further south. Plus he hasn't stated that he himself has moved to Austin, just that he's moved to Texas. Elon also isn't dumb enough to be on a States power grid. Just look at Giga Nevada.

Doesn't he have tentacle porn to look at instead of being wrong on the internet?

I'll have you know I've done plenty of research, but I've been busy researching traditional eastern literature.
It's not porn, it is art.

I don't think he needs someone with Elon Musk's credentials (ie checkmark since I doubt Kurt understands anything else about Musk) to tell him that hot and historic cold are different things and require different kinds of preparation.

Also, rubbing people's pain in their faces is not a good look. People are dying from these issues, calling Texas a third world country doesn't help anyone but Kurt and his inflated sense of his own importance.

I'm not defending the people and ERCOT who caused these problems. I'm just saying that Kurt could be less of a raging asshole in the face of people's pain. But I mean, this is Kurt seizure-faker Eichenwald, so I know I'm being optimistic and asking too much for him to show some respect to other people.

Yes, Curt, because Tesla might be able to force the state to actually invest in its infrastructure. As fucked as it is, turning the entire state into Musk's Fief might be a net positive for it.

Kurt is absolutely seething and somehow managed to blame CPAC(biggest conservative event) for his brother's death
So it's somehow CPAC's fault that his brother didn't wear a mask and got the coof? A mask wouldn't have stopped it anyway. Masks mitigate spreading it, and don't do much at all about catching it. Should have washed his hands.

Also, get some vitamin D, zinc and HCQ. Did his brother tried that POS named remdesivir?

I have no idea why I did this, it seemed appropriate at the time.

Also, he does a weird thing where he tweets the same thing twice. Once as a reply to someone, then he quote tweets it and posts the same exact response. What a strange man.

If he wants people to consult the experts than he shouldn't talk about stocks either. AT&T while still doing poorly is up by $0.10 since that old post. Also, a real journalist would turn to the Lancet when it comes to medical issues, not Nature.

Looking at Tweets like these it comes as no surprise as to why he has no job and has his wife support him.
