Does anyone remember old Wikihow? At least pre 2010 but maybe a bit before that. It was respectable. It had a mission I could get behind. I spent a not insignificant amount of time proofreading articles there because I liked what they were doing and wanted to help it be better. Sure, there were always stupid ones like "how to be a goth" or whatever, but it was nothing approaching the level of sheer retardation you can see there today. And they didn't have this thing where every step is accompanied by a completely unnecessary illustration.

It's like they ran out of ideas at some point but didn't take that as a cue to leave well enough alone. I weep for what wikihow might have been, and for my wasted hours.
