Left 4 Autism: The RPG.

Around you is the rooftop you've been using as a refuge for the past two days. The door to the stairwell has been damaged by the autists, and you don't think it will last if the autists were to attack it again. You planned on trying to signal a helicopter from the roof, but they seem to have stopped flyovers. You're low on food, water, and ammo.

In your map, the following places can be designated aside from the Safe Zone: weapon store, hospital, convenience store, supermarket, laundry shop, and hotel. There can be certain consumable/usable items that can increase the stats of a character or the weapon that he is currently carrying. For example, mounting a bipod on a rifle increases accuracy when equipped for the current battle, or squeezing a squeeze-ball that you carry in your inventory can increase Accuracy by 1 for one battle. I think there's also a mechanic where characters must obtain and eat food to keep their stamina levels high.

Can the Safe Zone be a hotel and the PBG's new main base of operations?

JejeDiamond prays to the Almighty for the safety of herself and her allies. As she approaches the damaged door...
I hope I'm not gonna be infested by those spooks.
She saw a pack of three common autists, all of them wearing T-shirts and jeans which haven't been washed for at least three days.

«IN-BATTLE!»

Location: Inside the stairwell of the hardware store

I roll a 9 [d10] and then an 8 [d8 Agility].

I roll a 5 [d6 Vigor] then add 10.

HP: 15 21

[CommonAutist 1], [CommonAutist 2], [CommonAutist 3]

What a bunch of foul-smelling, talkative loons. I don't want my rashie to be soiled by their dirty claws.

I probably didn't explain HP right. It's the number of sides your vigor dice has, +10. So, you've currently got 16 HP, plus the 5 from the Alpha edge.

I've never played a game using Savage worlds so I really have no idea how combat works here. The combat section in the rules didn't explain it very well.

Okay, so we go in order from highest to lowest values. So, it's Kagayaki, then Autist 3, and so forth. Also, if you roll the highest possible amount or the lowest possible amount, it's the same as the Joker from the original card based drawing system. Do, you can move anywhere in the area and gain +2 to all skill and damage rolls. When it's your turn, you can make a move action and a regular action (shooting, skill checks, and so forth). You can do additional actions, but they incur a -2 penalty to all rolls for each additional action. Also, you can't do the same actions twice in a round or fire more than your weapons rate of fire. To make the combat more streamlined, drawing a weapon or aiming a gun is considered a move action. Aiming a gun adds a bonus to you chance to hit based on the guns accuracy stat.
Now, for attacking an enemy, you roll for a particular skill (let's say fighting). The Threshold Number for hitting with a melee weapon is the target's parry. The TN to hit with a gun is 4. You must roll the TN or better to hit the target.
Now, everyone starts with 3 "bennies". Bennies can be used to re-roll skill check die. So, if you do poorly, you have a chance to do do better. If your Bennie roll is even worse, you can still use the original roll. Oh, and I forgot about the wild die. The wild die is rolled by certain important characters, such as heroes and bosses. When you roll for a skill, you roll an additional die, which you an use to replace one of the other die. If you roll snake eyes, it's a critical failure. It's complicated, but I'll try to help make it easier to understand.

3. Pyro Joe
4. [CommonAutist 2]
5. Brian Fetcher

JejeDiamond finds out that the damaged door can be used as a throwable riot shield, using the knob as the handle for the right hand. But she needs someone to unbolt it.

The door is a strength or repair challenge of 4.
Autist 3 rolls for Notice: 2
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4628960/

The autist looks around and grunts. He is a large man with a greasy neck beard and a mullet, clad in tight mom jeans and a brightly colored striped shirt.
"Hmn, is sum one der?"
However, after a few moments of searching, he gives up and returns to the pile of Legos in the stairwell.

You have the drop on the autists. They are roughly four yards away, on a landing in the stairwell.

This looks almost too easy. I'm glad I saved that last hot-pot.

I'm looking for an opening to throw my Molotov onto the landing, what do I roll?

Your throwing skill. You need to roll a three or higher, because it's a fairly close, stationary target in a confined space. Explosives kill common Spergs instantly. The number taken out is determined by the object. A Molotov rolls as a D4 in open areas, but as a D6 in enclosed spaces (because the zombies are close together, there's a ceiling that traps smoke and restricts oxygen flow, and other factors)

Pyro Joe heaves the Molotov through the door way. Autist three has time to say "Sonic Sez sthop, drop, an..." before he is cut off by flaming gasoline and the choking stench of burning dirty crapped briefs.
Pyro Joe's eyes gleam as the fire slowly runs out of fuel and burns out.
Nait bends over and pukes.

"Jesus Christ man... I... I just need a minute."
Nait stands up and rubs his forehead.

Lets just hope all their stuff didn't burn up.
Brian begins looting the dead sperglings.

Brian finds nothing of interest on the sperglings, save for some charred clownshirts and KFA. But he does notice the store that the stairs lead to.

JejeDiamond runs through the stairs, and finds out that the owner of hardware store is either missing or was afflicted with the S.P.E.R.G.S. She eats a pizza pocket sandwich and consumes half the contents of her water bottle. She's not comfy with taking any tool, let alone a hammer, that doesn't belong to her.

“Guys, is there a hotel in which we can resupply?”

She checked the basement (accessible through a trap door).

FYI: The hardware store in which the heroes start their adventure was built in 2008. The proprietor was one of the founders of the Platinum Banhammer Guild; by the time the S.P.E.R.G.S. outbreak happened in June he began preparations to make a shelter/foxhole/whatever out of the basement. The week before he invited JejeDiamond, Brian, Nait, and Pyro Joe to stay in the hideout. There was enough accommodation for the four, along with a complete bathroom and kitchen set, but today, there wasn't any food nor a running water supply.

As you search the wreaked basement you hear a voice.
"Whyyyy. Why have all da pretty girls gone to da Chad Thundercocks... Have da Chads taken you toooo?"
Jeje realizes that the rest of the group is still upstairs...
As for the rest of you, you look around the store. Most of it has been ransacked and looted, but there are still a few tools lying around. There are also several first aid kits on display. 4 Small First Aid Kits (restores 1d4 health), 2 Medium First Aid Kits (restores 1d6 health), and 1 Large First Aid Kit (restores 2d6 health).
In one of the back aisles, there's a dead survivor with a .44 in his hand, a hole in his head, and a bloody gauze bandage on his arm. In his backpack is a Double Barreled Shotgun, a 30-30 rifle, 12 shot gun shells, 12 .30-.30 rounds, and 12 .44 rounds.

JejeDiamond discovered the basement in an even worse state, realizing that a Loveshy had indeed raided the hideout! So she warned her partners:
“Guys, more savages! They have robbed my supplies and wore my dirty clothes!!”

Indeed the Loveshy had been wearing one of Jeje's three bras over his soiled sweatshirt and a clean pair of knickers over his head; he has soiled her extra clothes, too! All the closets have been emptied, and the bathroom has been desecrated by puke, urine, and poop! (Being so far the only female in among her group, she felt very embarrassed, but at least her undies aren't Kaka Apple Chrisp material.)
“Oh no! Our hideout isn't safe anymore, we must hurry to the safe zone now.” she added. She took off her rash guard (revealing her plain, navy blue competition swimsuit underneath), using it as a makeshift towel to wipe off the sweat on her body, and wrapped it around the waist, tying the sleeves in front. Jeje, having last took a bath and changed into her current outfit by the time she woke up at 6:00 AM, had planned to stay in the hideout for only one day (September 21, that is), and then proceed to the nearest hotel that she can find while waiting for resupply. (Fortunately the PBG has gotten more donations from concerned citizens to provide lodging for the sperghunters.) She hurried back upstairs and to the front door of the store, counting on Nait and Brian to engage the Loveshy who ransacked the hideout below, and Pyro accompanying her to scout for more autists outside.
