Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

It does suck that the stylus is mandatory, and I failed to mention the yelling into the mic. In Phantom Hourglass to acquire the salvage arm for your boat you have to literally scream "I WANT IT." Plus the louder you scream the cheaper the guy sells it to you. Let's just say I got it for pretty cheap.
I think you can just blow into the microphone to set it off at max value.

Live action Zelda movie being made, Sony involved financially. Wes Ball, some guy who did the shitty Maze Runner movies, is directing. Avi Arad producing, and he's produced a lot of god awful slop for Sony.

I wanted an animated Legend of Zelda film, not whatever this will be. I can already hear the licensed music.
I can already hear Link talking.
My bet is on some fag like Tom Holland.

And of course it's "gatekeeping" to not alter a character who has always been mute.
Very ableist of these redditors.

I thought everyone was tired of Link being mute. Or maybe that's just me. It was one thing when the games only had text boxes, but when Link just blankly stares at someone vocally pouring their hear out to him, it's super awkward.

Can't wait for the marvel quips or "Erm, that just happened" followed by "well excuuuuuuse ME princess" as he looks directly into the camera and winks.

Mario didn't have any of that, so I'm not sure why Zelda would.
This.

Given the extremely strict guidelines Nintendo gave for the Mario movie, I have no idea why they wouldn't do the same for a Zelda one.

I think having a mute!Link could work just fine if they did what they did some of the games like TP, and just make him visually expressive. However, what really matters is what actor they choose to portray him, and what story they're choosing to adapt. Given the guy producing the movie though, I don't have high hopes that they'll make a good decision.

If there must be a negro in a prominent role, it's not completely unreasonable that for Ganondorf it could work. Ideally, he'd be a semite of some sort, but it's not completely out of the question like it would be with Link or Zelda.

Mario had what was typical of Illumination animated movies.
This is a Sony involved product produced by the guy who brought you:

So we will see what is typical of these movies.
Sony doesn't call the shots here, though, Nintendo does.

I just think it's time to make Link a fuller character, and the only way to do that is giving him a voice. I'm stupidly optimistic that if he talks in the movie, maybe he will in the games too.

That's just being optimistic, Nintendo still let Illumination cast unfitting voice actors and pump random popular music into the movie.

Why is him not talking an issue? Why should a character suddenly be changed after almost 30 years?

There will be a strong girlboss Gerudo, and they will be made into ugly sheboons.
Ganon is the main evil guy, he can't be black, he will be some nondescript brown skin, probably Indian.
I hope it's this HGH jaw guy

Like I said, it's one thing when the cutscenes were just text boxes. When voice acting was introduced and you can actually hear characters talking about serious issues or saying their goodbyes to Link, it's weird that he just silently stares back at them. Or in cutscenes with Link and more than one other person, he just stands in the background so everyone else can chat. If they're going to change the games and make them more cinematic, Link needs to change to fit the shift.
