Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

Plus, there's hardly any reason to actually be on an horse, in the first place.
At least hogwarts waited a bit before shoving a broomstick up your ass and it felt actually liberating to get and worthwhile.

I had unlocked most of the towers and was portaling around like a squirrel on crack long before I realized they brought over my horse from BotW.

Part of the problem is the “open world” isn’t really and there’s little reason to walk and explode. Er explore.

Well, I didn't see this one coming. For the first time since Zelda's Adventure on the venerable Philips CDi, there's gonna be a Zelda game where you actually play as the eponymous princess.

I'm probably not going to play this for a couple of reasons, but I think it's a sort of neat concept, and they actually seem to not just have made Zelda a female Link. I think I'm gonna keep an eye on this.

i think it looks like a fun concept, but I'm concerned about the dialogue. If it's needlessly feminist or DEI I might skip it and wait for a mod or a patch.

Airbagged, the major Alyssa Mercante simp with a huge hate-boner against Grummz, is shitting his pants in joy that the new Zelda game is "woke".

Lol, what a faggot.

Anyway, it looks mildly interesting, but I'm mostly just disappointed. I was really looking forward to a real Zelda game after BotW and TotK, and the art style got my hopes up for a minute.

Why are Zelda titles so lame anymore? By that, I mean the literal titles.

It seems the games, as of late, are lacking a core theme/item that makes them fun, so the games' subtitles are vague shit like "Breath of the Wild," "Tears of the Kingdom," "Echoes of Wisdom." None of these sound remotely compelling. Hell, even "Skyward Sword" sounded punchier and more purposeful than any of those titles.

Yeah, I get that Zelda's Triforce alignment is wisdom — my point still stands.

Let's hope not. They did Super Princess Peach right, but that was like 20 years ago...

Liberals are just trying to dilute the word woke on purpose because it's been very effective at cutting through their bullshit. If they can try to make "woke" seem like it means "game about a girl" then it'll lose its bite. That's definitely their angle.

I think the reason is that the last few entries were titled "X of (the) Y", which just sounds really generic. Sure, Zelda games have had similar titles before (The Adventure of Link, The Ocarina of Time and the Oracle Games), but for some reason those sound a lot more meaningful. I think it's because both titles refer to a major element of the game.

I think BotW and TotK don't really have such a strong element and EoW is a bit too general. I think something like "The Staff of Echoes" would have been a stronger title.

Tears of the Kingdom is a cool title on the surface, but then you realize that the titular treasure is never actually called that in-game. It's just..."Secret Stones".

Echoes of Wisdom is at least insightful, if a bit generic.

...

The secret stones are not the Tears. Did you like avoid the sidequests or something? The tears are the little puddles that show you Zelda's memories.

That felt a bit too obvious to me, probably a case of overthinking it. To be fair, the stones are tear-shaped like the magatama they're most likely based on.
