Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

So, since Zelda is white, I'm guessing Malon will appear as a black woman. She is a redhead, after all.

And I swear I remember a blurb that the (very basic) plot involves finding the Triforce. Makes me thing it's not going to be Breath of the Wild related since the Triforce is mostly unimportant there. My personal opinion is it won't be based of any one game. A melting pot at most. Honestly if they were going to do any game I think it'd be Ocarina of Time. Breath of the Wild sold more, but Ocarina of Time has had staying power for over 25 years and is the most highly rated game ever.

Also, there are those Ocarina of Time remake rumors. Perfect time to have a movie soon following its possible release that has a similar story.

I don't think it's hard to do a Zelda movie, because every Zelda game has simple formulas that can be recreated in different ways. Since they are reincarnations that have taken different roles over the years, liberties are so easy to take.

You would have to be a complete self absorbed retard hollywood bot to ruin this. Which is still, unfortunately, a very possible outcome. I never expect writers to not ruin things by inserting unnecessary bullshit. And unfortunately, Zelda would be an easy target because it's been scrutinized for years by the usual suspects because 'boy saves girl' plots.

I hope Nintendo keeps very tight controls on it. They don't have a spotless track record but they know the series better than some Hollywood studio suits who think that Zelda is the name of the hero in the funny hat.
 
I mean, you really have just remake Legend to make a good Zelda movie or just a good Sword and Sorcery flick.

If they where gonna adapt the games, I'd figure they'd mash Ocarina and Twilight Princess/Link to the Past together.

probably because Mario is one of, if not the biggest/most recognizable gaming franchise ever, and if they DEI'd it too much, people would absolutely notice and cause an uproar.

In fairness, even though Peach outclassed Mario the entire movie, he and Luigi actually beat him. Unless you want to count Peach feeding him the Mini Mushroom as his defeat.

She'll probably beat his ass but then Link will need to use the Master Sword to finish him, showing she's stronger and more capable, but still giving Link a purpose.

It was a team effort in the end, but Peach being so much better than Mario was still retarded, and Luigi being the damsel-in-distress was even worse.

The one and only saving grace was Peach remained kind and gracious, often the girlboss is an insufferable cunt but she was actually supportive and friendly. They seemed to entirely remove any hunt of romance between them if I recall correctly, another misstep, but it scored a lot of points with me just making Peach LIKABLE. I could actually enjoy the film for what it was.

As background characters in the city maybe, something like that? There's been minor black characters in the series since the 90's, so if that's the case it's technically within the appropriate scope of the franchise. Although, I'm sure they weren't using that logic in the movie, and just wanted at least some DiVeRsiTy to appraise the BlackRock Hollyweird Jews.
