If an attorney, that is, someone other than Shaner had filed this, it would indicate so.
Has Hy bailed from this shit show?
Did he, perhaps, actually read the information about Shaner available on the Internet by Shaner's own actions and realize, perhaps, that Shaner had misrepresented the situation a wee bit?

@Saul Goodman has pointed out in the past, it's not generally ethical just to ditch a client (although you can limit your representation up front to something like "I'll do the preliminary but you have to find someone else for trial" or the like). However, if the case turns out to be something entirely different than you were led to believe, that's reasonable cause. Or if the client won't take your advice.
Anyway, Mayerson is not listed as counsel of record, after a procedurally significant event, and is not listed as the person who filed the waiver of appearance.
I'm going to call it tentatively that he is not currently involved.
