At the time I just assumed it was VoidBurger and pals being their usual histrionic selves, trying to virtue-signal over some petty bullshit, and I think I said so either here or on some other forum or whatever.
But I didn't actually watch the stream (I think it had been taken down?) and I wasn't aware of the key issues that VB and Sara had with it: that Lowtax apparently made his daughter wear a diaper and I think had her say inappropriate things or showed her inappropriate things that Shmorky had done or some other lunacy. So I owe them both an apology because for once they were justified: fucking bizarre and exploitative behaviour on Lowtax's part. And of course in retrospect there turned out to be a lot more wrong with Lowtax than just using his daughter as a prop: it was an indicator of a pattern of abuse.

On the subject of Slowbeef and his streaming, I wish Diabetus would stop being a lazy twat and just Make Retsupurae with him again. If Diabetus can play a billion hours of ALttP/Metroid randomizers on twitch he could spend a fraction of that time making worthwhile content with Slowbeef for Youtube.

I'm 100% sure Sara just regurgitated something she'd heard online without even looking into it, as is always the case with these people, and Void just jumped in knowing even less about the situation. They're not getting any credit from me, Lowtax being a shitty dad and a terrible person was never a secret, we just didn't know how deep the rabbit hole went at the time.
There's also the fact Void immediately regretted calling him out back then and spent a good bunch of weeks trying to find a way to undo her permaban, which makes her as pathetic as you'd expect.

And yet despite there being 2 or 3 alternatives to SA, all set up in almost exactly the same way, people only remember SA. I wonder why that is. Couldn't possibly be because of good management where it was most important, and when it was needed most. That's not to say Lowtax was the best in his field, but he certainly knew how to find the best talent and the right subjects to draw eyes from all across the internet.

Apparently Raocow is from Something Awful... something great from something awful, I'd say. Used to watch his LPs a few years ago and genuinely enjoyed them. Basically, he just said that during his long ass commutes to work, he regretted not being a full-time streamer because he missed his family and it would have given him more time to spend with his family. Then COVID hit, he started working from home, and now he just does it for fun.
