SA goons have definitely pioneered the trend of anti-social, emotionally parasitical freakazoids going around kvetching about their perceived roles as 'defenders of the community' or other self-absorbed delusions of the sort, because they think it gives them the right to lord over everything and everyone with their social signaling and moral grandstanding.
Another component to that is seeing goons and pseudo-goons lovebombing random strangers on Xitter etc day-in-day-out, and we were told to act as if that behavior was normal and healthy, least we get cancelled out of existence for being heartless, bigoted monsters. That's the crux of almost all online drama nowadays, with The Dark Id rabbit hole just being another example.

If the Remedy gig doesn't work out, there's a few media companies around Helsinki and Tampere that are relatively reliable employment but every migrant who goes to Finland for employment should know that they need to actually LEARN FINNISH if they want to actually get hired for non-shit jobs.

Editing (as it relates to Chip) is not a real skillset. He managed community videos for Volition (the same way a self-taught youtuber would). This is not something you could take to a reputable film/television studio and relate as experience. Ironically even someone like VoidBurger would have a better resume as Giantbomb is much more of a video content platform than Volition was and she was likely involved in a variety of different setups.
He doesn't "make games" - to my knowledge his only video game industry credit is "Video Editor" as Volition Production Support for Agent of Mayhem. Quite literally as far as removed from making games as you can possibly be and still get a credit.
His body of work are things like this - https://www.youtube.com/@VolitionTube/videos - things that never took off. A few videos a year, very low views, static shots (literally just A/B editing) and poor audio mixing. It quite literally looks like a failed Youtube channel and not the major output of a serious video game studio, which is probably how/why they died. The channel is minimum effort and the fact that it was a full time job for him is criminal.
If I were hiring and this was his resume, I'd 100% pass and just do it myself.

Welp, looks like Remedy's dead, because they'd only hire a dude who peaked in editing decades ago and who refuses to improve if they're budget cutting, which makes sense after they got fucked on Alan Wake 2.

I'm truly confused by VB saying a larger portion of tax dollars are going to prisons and more people are being incarcerated. I surely don't follow the same news sources as her but I've never heard anyone make that claim before. Also I outright reject the premise that only violent offenses should be jailable, if someone robbed her house when she wasn't home 10 times should they never go to prison? Further I would imagine she'd be in favor of jailing someone for flying a Nazi flag or something which is also nonviolent, then again I guess she would make the argument that the flag is inherently violent or promotes hate speech which she'd also define as violence.

She had a Tweet implying she'd look into getting hired on at Remedy too if nothing else materializes. As someone else on here said, I feel like her work with Giant Bomb may actually work in her favor if she looks into that.
Remedy seems to be the current indie darling, and Chip and VB were both desperate after they got laid off. Add to that their disillusionment with the US, and I'm sure they jumped at the chance to move to a more progressive country to chase a sexy new job offer.

I got some gossip from circa 2011-2012 about void and bob. Mainly about void, not so much about bob, he was an overall nice guy to me, I don't have anything negative to say about him. Long story short, we three used to hang out for a short while. I was a terminally online ESL kid who didn't know any better, I thought about writing my whole story down, but it's cringe so I won't, I'll leave it at that so I'll focus on void and bob instead.
Roughly 13 years ago, I was the third wheel in the autistic silent hill Twin Perfect deconstruction project, which was the original concept of the The Grate Debate channel. This never came to fruition after I left the team, bob and void had vague ideas to create content about silent hill, and they seem to have refurbished the channel for gaming podcasts and interviews instead. The goal of the project was to take down Twin Perfect, going line by line and debunking whatever opinions or interpretations they had gotten wrong in their Silent Hill retrospective series. Bob called Fungo "that weirdo with the bowlcut, it makes him look like a dick." Also semi related but apparently some drama happened between fungo and the other twinperfect guys a while back, that they had a falling out, one of them spilled the beans in a forumpost telling his side of the story about how they had to raid fungo's house one time to kidnap his gf because he was abusing her, or something. Point being, bob had some strange obsession and petpeeves with the Twin Perfect dudes.
Anyway, back when we mingled, bob was alright, awesome guy full of ideas for new videos and projects, and jess was affable but also a tad autistic. Bob's youtube used to go by something along the line of toirtoise shesellseashells, why everyone called him bobvid got me confused for the longest time in this thread, but turns out he had changed his channel name. When I see tweets of jess talking in cringeworthy wholesome baby-speak like in that chungus Spyro screenshot, that's how she was on IM, too. Very childlike. You can feel it too in her audio commentary in her shattered memories LP.
She told us she was living in NY with her bf at the time, a hurricane or storm was happening at that time and she was scared. She didn't live with Chip but some other guy, unless she kept her relationship with Chip on the downlow and it really was him, and they somehow lived together in NY, or she lied and she didn't live with a bf at all, anyway, I don't know enough about Chip to know where he lived at the time or when they got together, maybe one of you who is informed can triangulate sleuth their relationship timeline back in late 2011. She lived at the expense of her bf and didn't have a job. Jess was a raging libtard and she would attend the taping of Stephen Colbert's tv program (The Colbert Report back then). She would also occasionally release pent-up stress by breaking furniture inside a warehouse. Apparently it's a thing in NY? You pay a guy to get inside a room filled with chairs and vases and other breakable stuff, they hand you a bat and you go to town for whatever fee you paid. One day she told me she was crying because she saw a dead cat in the streets on her way back home. I sent pics of my cat then to cheer her up and we kept talking about cats and that made her feel a lot better. Again, she was childish and immature for her age (around 23 at the time), this interaction always stuck to me. She said she didn't like Mindless Self Indulgence because they were too offensive. She said she cosplayed sometimes, she showed us a pic of a random outfit she wore at a con, she had long hair, dressed up as a witch and looked somewhat feminine, and that one time she claims she met a Heather Mason cosplayer who goes by the name of Leesers--she has an old cosplay set that used to get posted a lot online a decade ago. Void got mad when a guy on the LP subforum called Niggurath had started a Silent Hill 2 let's play, she planned on doing it herself as it was her favorite game, she went through a breakup when she played SH2 for the first time years ago and that game had a huge impact on her, it helped her cope. That's your super hero origins story and how she got into Silent Hill. She vehemently despised Niggurath, mainly because of his major involvement on the LP subforum at the time-- the guy was posting a new let's play almost every month like a machine-- also she didn't like him because he wasn't very politically correct, also also because saying his name aloud sounds like saying the n word.
Bob couldn't stand the TippingForties guys. I remember him saying "the nose knows" when mentioning bandunk. The joke was that Mike had a big nose. Bob planned on all 3 of us working on a collaborative Silent Hill: Downpour let's play, where me, void and himself would record one episode each in a distinct let's play style (bob with his usual meta editing, void and me with audio commentary /subtitles). Bob apparently had a ton of ideas to make fun of Downpour, too. I left the group so that never materialized. But before that happened, I went through the Twin Perfect silent hill series and transcribed the whole retrospective in google doc myself along with screencaps from the videos for key moments, we would then add annotations in different colors to debunk whatever the TP guys were sperging on about so we could sperg ourselves like the silent hill loremasters we were. They would constantly make fun of fungo and his bowlcult after bob pointed out his dickhead, as well as the ginger guy for being a ginger. The third guy was the illegal alien mexican butler. One thing I vaguely remember the Twin Perfect guys got wrong in their series was the whole boiler drama stuff? That one of their argument was based on a newspaper lore note found in the game which may or may not be entirely truthful and most if not all of their theories was built upon the veracity of that note. They were wrong about it somehow and bob had a lot to say about this. I vaguely remember void hating on Christopher Gans, the french movie director of Silent Hill 1, and calling him a mysoginistic frog piece of shit. I'm not sure what the context was about with that one. It may have been because of something Gans said in an interview about how Harry Mason didn't act like a 'man' in the game, and how genderswapping him for the movie made more sense because Harry acted like a woman, with all the inner narration and thinking and caring about his daughter.
That's all I can remember, sorry bros. Not a bombshell or anything, just some personal anecdotes when we mingled for a few months together. Bob was a really funny and creative guy, and jess was affable but also childish--she merely was your average terminally online millenial GOTIS. Nothing too out of the ordinary back then tbh. But then twitter happened and they turned insane. Going through the thread was a kick in the guts because I knew these two and they never acted the way they are presenting now. I'm glad I left the group and SA because when I see all these goons having meltdowns on twitter and being affected by the sjw libtard brainrot, I can picture myself doing the same had things went a different way, if I had stuck around these two, then I would have probably drunk the same goon kool-aid as they have and became like them, and someone here would have posted twitter screencaps of me going nuts too. Thats gotta be a previous boyfriend her and chip got together around 2016 and moved in together when chip got the volition job.
I'm familiar with this one. Fungo was indeed abusive. There was one stream he did with his girlfriend where she said something that pissed him off and he raised his hand to her as if about to hit her before remembering they were streaming. The gf was also flirting with the other guy, Rosseter while venting to him about her abuse and so they agreed he was going to pick her up from his house to rescue her and a relationship was implied. Ross and Fuzh (who im pretty sure is white so im not sure why bob's calling him a mexican) got to Fungo's place where apperently fungo was being nice to them and even helped load her bags into their car but for whatever reason asian girl got stockholm syndrome last second and decided she was staying. They left without her and Twin-Perfect split up, Fungo signed away his right to the channel and videos with him in them taking about a quarter of the revenue it pooled up at the time. He hadn't been participating in the channel much admitting he barely wrote any of their SH doc script and started uploading videos to his personal channel. Him and asian girl broke up a couple years later and he stopped making content because nobody watched his shitty streams other than the one he got the voice of James Sunderland on.
There's more to it, he went out of his way to cast only women in his films cause he just wanted to be around chicks. Standard hollywood director stuff.

So this is actually true. The major misconception of the events of the failed ritual in 1 by the fans is based on the fact that this note was bugged in the American release of the game.
This memo is the missing part of a newspaper you can find in the police station mid way through the game. It is supppsed to spawn in nowhere only of you read another memo in the school.
Since you need to read this memo for the above memo to appear we can assume they are linked and that the fire was caused as a poltergeist effect triggering the boiler to explode and interrupting the ritual.
SH origins tried to retcon this very poorly and even included the secret memo but rewrote it to imply the boiler explosion was a cover-up which makes no sense. Why would a secret memo revealed only in the depths of Alessa's mind turn out to be lying to us? How could the fire be intentional if the ritual failed? Why would the ghosts of the past lament the state that Alessa fell into from being burned if that was the desired result? The idea that they tried to burn her but then a trucker saved her wasn't even a concept in the original game and nothing about that event in 0 makes sense.
The real reason fans clung to the original fire theory was because
1. They didnt want to admit they were wrong and liked being able to gatekeep information as the wiki overlords.
2. They refused to admit that the western titles were terrible.

Iirc Fungo also initially hijacked all of TP's accounts before relinquishing them back to the other guys but also had a brief working relationship with the void burger crew.

Oh yea i think he privated or deleted everything, forgot about this. It happened while they were driving to his house and they had the contract for him to sign it over on hand there so that was resolved quickly.
It was purely a twitter thing where they took his side on the matter cause they were trying to flare up drama. Again very childish they were like late 20s when this happened and funny because Fungo was the wife beater. I didn't go into detail on that either, he would hit her, slam her head into walls, pin her against walls and scream at the top of his lungs at her. Apperently this happened regularly. This is all second hand from Rosseter but that one clip of him almost hitting her was enough to convince most it was all true.
