Weirdly enough, most of the convincing brolitas I knew were straight. It was like lolita/crossdressing was their one out there thing they indulged in. Full beard lolita as a joke is one thing, but there are guys out there buying $400+ worth of dresses, petticoats, stockings, shoes, etc. and then showing up with a big musky mess under their bonnets. (Ladybeard is an exception, that hair is probably silky af)
If that's their aesthetic, cool, but it prompts some of the more unseely girls to think shit like this is passable.

Also, some of y'all really got some things wrong about lolita. But I'm not gonna get into it.
 
The entire community is not nearly as fun to observe as are the small pockets of cows it produces. Most lolita are just ladies with too much spare cash who think their fashion style is more refined than the typical Gucci or McQueen or Nike fanatic.
To really get the most enjoyment out if laughing at them, you'll need to look more into the lifestyle subgroups, Behind the Bows backlash, or the one or two dozen really vocal fetishists. The community as a whole is just girls in hard to wear dresses.
