- Tacitly admits he got in 'some trouble' without really explaining too in depth about the circumstances. What little he does say about it is a flat out lie. Still makes it clear he 'feels justified' even after spending nearly a year on the streets because of it
- Now he claims it wasn't him having delusions and blackmailing people but a whole group of people that complained. PPH is also apparently 'basically a crackhouse' full of meth, heroin and (you know hes trying to find the right word here without actually saying it outright) orgies
- At a mere mention of a cop lucas goes completely batshit (despite the fact that background checks frequently involve checking with the police anyway for criminal records, etc.. so it should at least be expected when hes told such a standard check is going on) and its like he didn't even really acknowledge he was turned down, he just flipped a switch in his brain to start screeching about cops. Not to mention bringing up biden agreeing with him and ranting about gen z and socialism. He really went off at 'her' there. Its fortunate that it was just you and not some legit woman making a potential housing offer. If he said that to a real group of young women at one of their bfs being a cop and low key turned down because of stuff he said (that was really unprompted and ironically not even true....so he literally fucked himself out of a housing based on his delusions AGAIN in having this convo and is too dense to realize it) he'd have likely scared them shitless and put them off renting to any guys. He pretty much poisoned the well on that one had it been legit
That said, you should have waited a little longer and added the fact that stuff came up about his DV history and arrests and such to really sell it and make him ree

Indeed. I mean 9/11 was almost 20 years ago now (holy shit it made me feel old saying that) and iraq is bordering 18. Most college age women now weren't even alive when those events happened, and even if they were they were very young and have no real memory of it or the atmosphere of the time that resulted from it. They didn't have a period of legitimate concern that such a thing could happen to them like people in their 30s+ did. So like you said its really weird that he brings it up at all cause fundamentally they just aren't capable of it. Maybe a few that have known people that had somebody go truck of peace on them if they're european but other than that he's trying to get a reaction that just isn't possible out of them. The funny thing is lucas himself has pointed out in his reflections that most of that entire 2000 - 2004ish era is all a blur to him from the psych ward trips and psych meds, so even he doesn't really get it either I suspect
